Lucan Brattleby (b. 1875–1878) was a Gryffindor student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the late 19th century. He was the organiser of Crossed Wands, a secret duelling club in the school.[3]
Biography[]
At the age of eleven, he was enrolled into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he was sorted into Gryffindor. At some time between his first and third years, he became the organiser of Crossed Wands, a duelling club headquartered in the Clock Tower.[1][3]
In the 1890–1891 school year, he became acquainted with the new fifth-year student after they had been introduced to the club and vouched for by their friend, Sebastian Sallow, who was widely regarded as the club's most experienced duellist.[3]
After the new student won a series of duels,[3][4][5] he named them as the newest champion of Crossed Wands and gave them the prize, the Crossed Wands Champion Garb. After this, he commented that he should probably get back to his school work and his Herbology plants.[5]

- ↑ 1.0 1.1 During a gameplay showcase on 11 November 2022, game director Alan Tew mentioned that Lucan was "in a younger year" than the player character, a known fifth-year, meaning Lucan would be aged 12-15 in 1890 when the game is set. He could not have been a first year as he was already running Crossed Wands on the first day of term in 1890.
