Shaun William George Ryder (aka X) (born August 23, 1962 in Little Hulton, Lancashire, England) is an English newspaper columnist, musician, actor, singer-songwriter, ex-postman, author and television personality.

Shaun Ryder became famous in the "Madchester" era band Happy Mondays.
He provided the voice of Maccer, frontman of The Gurning Chimps, in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
