RC Triad Take-Down is a side mission in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. The mission is started by entering a TOYZ van located underneath a red pavilion south of Punk Noodles, in the Chinatown district of Portland, Liberty City. The goal of the mission is to kill more than 20 Triads using an RC Bandit. 3 seconds are added for each Triad killed.
The reward is $1,000. It is also required for 100% completion of the game. The mission can be replayed after completing but the new goal is to beat the previous record of the player.
Notes[]
- It is probable that the player will have to make repeated attempts at this side mission because relies mostly on luck in regards to how many Triad members spawn within range.
- Drivers of Triad Fish Vans are always Triad members and their deaths will count towards the goal.
- Detonating the RC Bandit too close to the van will damage it and eventually lead to it catching fire and exploding, wasting Toni (who cannot leave the van while the mission is under way).

Glitch[]
- On the PlayStation 2 version of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, this mission has a rare glitch: when the player detonates the RC Bandit trying to kill the Triads, after respawning for the next detonation, the timer will freeze. This allows the player to roam freely across the entire map (if the other islands are unlocked) without the worry of auto-detonating the car. However, the vehicle can still be detonated manually. If the vehicle makes too many collisions and explodes, rather than being wasted, the game only allows the player to control the camera; because the RC Bandit is blown up, the vehicle is uncontrollable, and the only way to fix this glitch is to reload a saved game.
