The Links Bridge is a two-lane beam bridge that appears in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
Description[]
The bridge connects the center of Little Haiti on Vice City Mainland to the Leaf Links golf course located on Vice City Beach in Vice City. In GTA Vice City, the Links Bridge is rarely used by vehicular traffic but pedestrians do walk across it. Due to its proximity to Leaf Links, Caddies are usually seen traveling on the bridge.
In both games, the bridge is closed in the beginning of the game due to a hurricane warning. It is unlocked after completing the mission Phnom Penh '86 in GTA Vice City or From Zero to Hero in GTA Vice City Stories.
In GTA Vice City, there's a Predator located underneath the bridge on the eastern side; however, it doesn't spawn until the completion of Phnom Penh '86. In GTA Vice City Stories, a Dinghy spawns close to the eastern end underneath.
Influence[]
The bridge's design is based on the PortMiami Bridge, but its geographic location corresponds to Julia Tuttle Causeway.
Trivia[]
- Despite the presence of lighting beneath the Links Bridge, in real life the PortMiami bridge did not have lighting beneath it until the mid-1990s.
