The Abandoned FIB Lockup, also known as Vincent's Lockup, is a compound of the FIB that appears in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.
Description[]
The building is located on Clinton Avenue in Downtown Vinewood, adjacent to the Vinewood Wax Haven museum. The building's government/law enforcement purpose is first mentioned in the original Contact Missions in Grand Theft Auto Online.
The building is also present in Grand Theft Auto V and the garage is also accessible to the player, although the location itself plays no role in the game's storyline.
History[]
Events of Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The building is identified as an FIB-owned facility by Lester Crest in the mission Hack and Dash, where the agency is using the lockup to score some prototype vehicles (an FIB Buffalo and an FIB Granger) equipped with new tech to siphon private data from home wifi networks in 2013. Both vehicles are stolen under orders from Lester, and delivered to a secluded warehouse.
At some point between 2013 and 2024, the Los Santos Police Department gained ownership of the lockup for an unknown purpose, but was later disused and abandoned. Officer Vincent Effenburger and the GTA Online Protagonist use the abandoned facility as their base of operations during their planned attacks on the new drug cartel operating at Clucking Bell Farms.
The lockup serves as the starting point for The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid setup missions once they are selected at the Vespucci Police Station, as well as the drop-off point for the finale. The deal between the Madrazo Cartel representative Jorge occurs inside the garage, in which the protagonist receives the final payment of the raid.
