In my previous post I discussed Ousterhout's Dichotomy at some length and suggested that it was ubiquitous in computing. In this post I will discuss some famililes of language that reject Outsterhout's Dichotomy, their history, and a new language called Julia.
As usual, this is a (very) long, boring post for people who don't care about languages, so I'll cut it for brevity.
