Popular trail so be prepared. Thins out as you get closer to the top. There is one really narrow section that requires scrambling, but the rest is not bad (I’m 66 and did fine). Lots of people had to carry their dog through it. Great views. Will hike it again.
What an amazing trail with views that leave you in absolute awe of nature. And very jealous of those who can live there. Did not make it to the top, felt lightheaded at the oxygen levels at the higher elevation . Will work up my cardio before my next visit. Great energy.
Okay this was really rock climbing than hiking lol. It's hard and not for the faint of heart. If you have breathing issues or fear of heights you'll want to be extra careful. It's intense and pretty crowded on the weekends. But a good exercise.
Well marked and wide paths for the most part - there is one narrow part near the top. Trail gets dark QUICK after sunset so if you are going for sunset make sure to have lights. Stars are incredible when the sun goes down.
Not dog friendly after a quarter mile. Make sure to bring shoes rocks are slick and Sandy. There's one major shoot Canyon to crawl up. That is a no fall zone. That is halfway on the trail. The rest of the trail was pretty easy switchbacks and able to get to the top
Easygoing, but not having a true trail up the rock was difficult in some places. I did this one for sunrise and it was so beautiful. Not crowded until 7ish. Quick in and out. Make sure to keep the app handy if you’re going at dawn or nightfall.
Requires some scrambling to get all the way to the top, but I saw people of all ages up there today (and their dogs too). There is only one small spot about halfway up where things feel truly dicey. The rest is a steadily steep but fairly short climb. This is also a really busy trail, so people will be around to help you find your way up if you need a hand. Nice view at the end, other nearby trails have maybe felt more “worth it” to me, but the hike was fun.
Parking only before 7am allowed, otherwise shuttle pickup is around every 15 minutes. Moderate hike with rocking climbing involved. Gloves and strong traction shoes recommended. Boots with the furr not recommended (uggs). Overall took around 40 minutes to the top. Great views from high above!! Definitely recommend.
