Turn right here and follow the level trail into a stand of Arizona cypress. The trail intersects Chapel Trail from the Chapel of the Holy Cross, near the "Madonna and the Nuns" spire rock formation. Keep going for a short while, passing the base of the knobs of Chicken Point on the left. Then, take the path to the left for a short climb onto the bare rock and enjoy the wonderful views. This point is used by jeep tours via Broken Arrow Road.

This trail canne reached by the bell rock b parkway. It goes gently uphill and she you reach little horse trail it is a steady uphill climb. It gets tougher as you approach chicken point. Do go for a distance on broken arrow trail where you are treated to up close views of hoodoos. It is a vortex there. Great trail. Tough on a hot late may day but worth the effort. We are in our mid 70s so double the time.

May16 afternoon. Its easy gentle trail. About every 5min, there is a big shady tree to rest under. Sunblock is a must. Took leisure 75min to Chicken Point and about same back. There is 10min long "easy" way up to White Line and tricky scramble up crack. Dont go too far along line... You can suddenly lose grip and fall.

Only had pics with me in it. Oops! Nice hike, fairly flat with more incline at the end. About 4 miles out and back. I think it took us about 2 hours including taking pics at the top. We went on the second Saturday in May. We started around 10am. We were originally going to wait until evening, but drove by to check it out and there was parking available and it wasn’t too hot so we decided to just do it. If it hadn’t been slightly windy it may have been a little too hot for my liking (probably between 75-80 degrees). Really glad we did this hike, keep going to chicken point (I think that’s the name) just a tiny bit further for the lookout beautiful to be walking and surrounded by red rock. Bring water and check weather for heat. Wasn’t crowded at this time of day.

Great little trail, worth going all the way to Chicken Point. Such a fabulous view! A bit muddy from last night’s downpours but really not bad. A few courteous cyclists. Lovely trail!! Clean and unobstructed trail.

This trail leans easy-moderate. Not difficult. Lots of mountain bikers but very hospitable! We started about 10am, and had to wait about 10 minutes for a parking space. I was worried because every kept saying get there eat for parking. Lots of sun. Bring water. Trail never seemed crowded. Good one.

Make sure to carry plenty of water and follow the trail signs carefully. Cyclists have created separate trails that can be misleading and may lead you off the main path. At the end of the hike, you'll reach "Chicken Point," where you'll be rewarded with spectacular views — a beautiful reminder of the wonders of God's creation.

We took Little Horse trail toward Chicken Point, but turned off on Chapel Trail to arrive at Chapel of the Holy Cross. I'm glad we didn't try to park at the chapel. It was worth the hike.

The trail itself is easy. Once you get to Chicken Head and White Line it gets more interesting. Would be good for dogs since it's pretty easy. We headed out at 7:15 on a Friday and had the two rock tops to ourselves for a little while before the jeeps started showing up.
