Trivia[]
Etymology[]
- The English name for this item derives "Vajrada" from Vajra, the weapon used by Indra, the Hindu God of Rain and Thunder. It is also used as a symbol of indestructibility and the "conscious attempt to recognize the transcendental aspect of all phenomena."
- In Buddhism, Vajra is one of the Twelve Heavenly Generals, the yaksha who serve Bhaisajyaguru, the buddha of healing.
- Vajrada Amethyst is the only gemstone item group named after a weapon. All other gemstone item groups are named after Hindu and Vedic deities.
- In the Chinese version, "Vajrada" is instead 最胜/最勝
Zuì Shèng, "All-Surpassing, Most Beautiful, Greatest."
