The Trivia about Zhongli having associations with Welt Yang or the Protagonist from A Post Honkai Odyssey, are blatantly false, it's based on misinformed fan conjuncture and extreme ignorance of the characters and lore of the Honkai series. The information about the other characters is correct though. -- Palsa (talk) 09:43, 19 September 2022 (UTC)

Hi! I'm a longtime wiki and lore editor on the Genshin Impact Fandom Wiki. I don't know anything about Honkai (I didn't add the Honkai stuff, other people did, and they're unvetted because most of the active editors here only know Genshin Impact), but based on what I've seen in my circles over the past two years, there's a lot of debate over who Zhongli is a nod to in Honkai, even among people who are very much into Honkai lore and are longtime players of the game (I don't take part in these discussions, nor do I earmark them for future reference, so I'm very much going "just trust me, bro" here haha).
I've edited Zhongli's bit to reflect the uncertainty since he evidently doesn't have as clear a counterpart as the others, but the two characters I've seen suggested the most by people who are into Honkai and actively participate in Honkai discussions in my circles are Welt Yang and Fu Hua during a specific part of her life, with Welt Yang pulling far, far ahead.
As an outsider who's had to listen to this stuff for two years, this sounds like something that is widely debated rather than clear-cut, so I hope my edit is satisfactory.

the timeline using >6000 years ago as morax birth[]

Hello i have noticed a small issue regarding the above topic

It is never directly stated that morax was born 6000 years ago but only used a mark of morax time on teyvat as a god. this notion is supported by him stating the following

"As you know, I've dwelt upon this world for more than six thousand years. It is now 3,700 years ago that I founded Liyue together with the adepti."

dwell /dwɛl/

verb FORMAL•LITERARY past tense: dwelt; past participle: dwelt live in or at a specified place. "groups of people still dwell in these caves"

Similar: reside, live, have one's home, have one's residence

Given the Historical account of the Stone tablet compilation and it describing morax having descended from somewhere. So you could say he simply said

"As you know, I've resided upon this world for more than six thousand years. It is now 3,700 years ago that i founded liyue together with the adepti."

"In the beginning, Rex Lapis descended. He lowered the tides, raised Mt. Tianheng, and calmed the waves. Thereupon, peace was brought to the people. They cut into the mountain and found jade, they bored through the rock and made tunnels, and they piled up stones and built a settlement. It is written that the jade from the bowels of the mountain is that which glows. Hence, they named it "Shanhui Fort"[1]. In that time, all the people of Tianheng derived their livelihood from the mines, all prospered from them, and none knew poverty within a thousand-mile radius."

Even the section that is the following History of morax also states he descended from somewhere rather than being born and would that not cause confusion

the account brought up by the sumeru scholar soraya are accurate given his wording

"From the evidence she found and the conclusion she made, her area of research is already very close to the truth"

Soraya: "...The god laid down four commandments for the people... Then another god descended, whose dominion was over Geo, and who brought the people of Liyue to this place. Jointly they shepherded the people for their protection..."

there are just too many points to his descended 6000 years ago to say he was born

We should change Focalors' common alias to either Lady Furina with an explanation that it is an assumed/fake/thought identity or human persona or something along those lines or just write none because no one knew she was the archon so she has no common alias to write unknown there.[]

So as we know the Hydro archon Focalors' common alias is currently written as Unknownbut that is wrong because unknown implies the existence of a name that is not known by us players but that is certainly not the case. Common Alias refers to the name common folk of the country use to refer their archon but Focalors was thought to be Furina herself and nobody knew her existence so she has no Common alias to speak of since the common alias people referred to her with was Lady Furina as they thought Furina is the Hydro archon. Thus her common alias should either be changed to something that shows she has no common alias instead of unknown or it should be written Lady Furina which is the common alias people of Fontaine used for the Hydro archon when they taught Furina is the hydro archon with an explanation/note that it is an identity/name/alias that people thought the hydro archon had and used.

Masquerade of the Guilty is at the fourth year of traveling. Please add it.Xicheng0704 (wall) 13:10, 17 November 2023 (UTC)

  • Is there a source for this inside of the Archon Quest? If not, then there is no way to prove it's the 4th year of traveling. And external events like Lantern Rite are not a reliable way to judge the canon passage of time as players experience different timelines depending on when they started playing. If it was decided to just say the Archon Quest act, it's exactly because we have no way to actually know the amount of time that passed in-lore since the game's start, and saying the quest is a more exact alternative way of pinpointing when it happens in the Traveler's journey. We will not change it to something vaguer.

Kachina states that Mavuika "achieved an overwhelming victory" in a pilgrimage where she became Archon, despite not knowing that she was Archon 500 years prior.[]

I'm sorry but IMO, isn't it more logical that the overwhelming victory that Kachina refers to is during Mavuika's 2nd pilgrimage after she gets "resurrected"? I think that's the main reason why she achieved overwhelming victory, because she already had a lot of fighting experience from her original life.

But I still have a question about Mavuika's early (2nd) life after she gets reborn in the present, does she gets birthed like a normal baby or does she suddenly appear as an adult (the exact age before she gets sacrificed) as a random stranger before suddenly going on the pilgrimage and won? If she's born normally in her 2nd life, why isn't there any mention about her new family?
