Re: Presumbly the UK has similar plans
Luckily for the rest of the world:
Johnson has no control over Truss or anyone else,
and
When Truss speaks, the whole world laughs

A couple of £million will be given to a mate of the relevant minister to develop a policy within 12 months. The policy will arrive 2 years late and £10mil over budget looking exactly the same as currently exists, except with an additional rule that the cookie consent banner must prominently feature the Union Jack (flag/whatever. Argue amongst yourselves)
"An American colleague likes to "collect" silly British placenames. He was particularly pleased to discover Shingay cum Wendy in Cambridgeshire."
He'll love this, then
Except he did (even though he says he didn't)
Volvo have already checked out wombats.
In the late 70s a friend was driving at night on the Tidbinbilla Rd in a Volvo 200 series. She hit a wombat at about 30mph (not the wombat) and the engine dropped out of the car.
The local dealer had some trouble explaining how that can happen to the Swedish makers...
Design by the same team who did the new Guarinad site?
Same problems as they have:
- probably great for people looking at the site on a phone, but really difficult to read on a decent sized screen in a small room. I just can't get far enough away to view without doing 2x zoom out, then it has acres of empty white space either side.
- huge picture that consumes acres of real estate. If I am looking for pictures I go to a photo site.
Nice red rollovers though. Very 1990's. Sorry. Did I say nice?
I've thought of another wheeze!
A hotbed of Glass wearers in London will be Soho. How much fun will it be to wander up to your friendly bobby on the beat and mention that the bloke over there was in the toilet wearing his camera?
These things could be more fun than I first though...
I have a question for those who think people who have a problem with google glass are just plain unreasonable luddites:
If you're wearing your glass and I stand a metre in in front of you, raise my SLR camera and take your photo, then post it to the flickr with the tag "glassholes" that'll be ok then?
Equadorian soil? He is in London, not Equador, and as far as I am aware the only foreign soil in the UK is about 12 square metres of the USA at Runnymeade.
Good to see the self procaliamed "champion of free speach" taking shelter from a dictator who allows no free speech and who is controlled by oil companies. US based oil companies.
Maybe Assange isn't quite as clever as he would have people believe...
What you talkin' 'bout boy?
My house isn't on streetview. I requested it be removed, just as anyone can. Here's a hint. IF your house is on Streetview and you don't like it, all you have to do is click the "report a problem" link at the bottom of the streetview image, and follow the instructions.
It's that simple - no conspiracy theories needed, just a little common sense.
