Is this now also influenced by the cost of the work space?

If everyone has the same day off then the company saves 1/5th on the heating and electricity in the office space for the day

This of course does not matter if everyone is working from home, perhaps more relevant in factory spaces where people still have to turn up to do the work

We are on a medium sized ind est in the South West and are looking to add plant so contacted Western power about upping the fuses to our unit. The answer came back no available spare capacity in the area to be had, not even how much do you want to spend.

It's a bit worrying as there are at least 3 big housing builds going on around us, where will they get supply from?

If I have PV and a battery bank at my house then I would expect to see a much larger saving than that page is suggesting.

With the right setup you shouldn't need the grid at all, trouble is this would not work every type of property.

I could see where the backup gensets could be used for helping during a brown out in the grid but I can't see how this would work for UPS as they only have short run times to give the genset time to start. This also has the issue that the UPS and gensets are sized for the load and if a brown out happens or worse a total power loss then the data center will want all the available power.

This does have the feel of a report done by people who don't live in the real world

Virgin did our street just before Christmas and keep putting flyers through the door and sending mailers. Problem is once they turn up to connect the contractors don't want to know as we have a concrete drive. Had two surveys done now and they just won't supply.

It's not a bug though is it, just a part of the process that was not thought through before it went live. If it was a bug it would be a feature or selection available that didn't work

Is this not more down to the backhaul setup rather than the mobile network?

4G equipment setups must be similar if not the same across all the providers so if you can get a signal then the data rate is down to the link they have to the internet or device contention to a mast

I can see alot of people getting nasty emails from there ISP after pluging in these and not realising the amount of download needed

or the complaining that it won't work properly as they don't have a fast enough connection
