Re: Comparison

The British equivalent is to allow the British public to vote on an agenda instead of letting it go through Parliament. This is not the British way of deciding policy. Then let the Government try to implement Brexit even though it is going to cost the British economy a lot of money. Even then Government can't decide on how to implement the agenda and starts wasting money on truck convoys.

The Brits did the opposite, there was a perfectly working barrier called the Channel. The Brits decided to spend millions on tunneling under that barrier. A moat was always a good defense in the past.

Re: Incredible

I have never been able to vote for having to queue up for 20 minutes to get petrol in my car. This is coming from a State where people consistently drive 5 to 10 miles an hour UNDER the speed limit, get confused by roundabouts and manage to walk in front of trains on a regular basis.

Options in the US

This article fails to address the HMO / PPO options in the US. The HMO option works more like the NHS but gives the consumer less elective options. As an ex Brit I find this much easier to work with than using a PPO. The other bad thing I found with PPO was the continuation of care between health care providers leaves something to be desired

Paying for local calls

I haven't paid for a local call for years, which part of the UK do you live in?BT has provided inclusive calls for a long time now along with companies such as 1899 ect. Also there is no such thing realistically as a local call, all calls are charged at the same rate on the basic packages
