FFRK Cocytus FFXV

Cocytus in Final Fantasy Record Keeper.

An ice elemental gun that came from the faraway world of Eos. The weapon's gaudy, golden design spares nothing, as even its barrel boasts small, decorative ornaments. This weapon is said to be available for purchase at a vehicle repair shop called Hammerhead in the faraway world of Eos.

Cocytus (コキュートス, Kokyūtosu?) is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series. It is a gun primarily wielded by Prompto Argentum.

Etymology[]

Cocytus or Kokytos (Κωκυτός, lit. "lamentation") is a river in the underworld in Greek mythology.

In Inferno, the first part of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, Cocytus is the ninth and lowest circle of Hell where traitors are frozen in a lake of ice. Dante's Satan is imprisoned waist deep in ice at the very center of Hell.
