Served his apprenticeship as a Land Agent in the Estate Office of the Rt. Hon. the late Earl of Darnley; was elected a Member of the Irish Land Agents' Association, a Fellow of the Surveyor's Institute (Irish Branch), a Member of the Royal English Arborticultural Society, and a Fellow of the Royal Horticultural Society. Has been engaged in the management of extensive Estates in Ireland, and is a Magistrate for the Counties of Waterford and Kilkenny; is a Member of the Diocesan Synod for the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore.
