This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Massachusetts. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Massachusetts|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Massachusetts. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.
This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to US.

All of the 3 listed sources in this article are no longer working. I was not able to find anything online about Wicht Club, its definitely not notable organisation. SolxrgashiUnited (talk) 15:23, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

Does not pass WP:GNG - sources are all trivial coverage or non-independent. Prod was contested by the article author. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 18:22, 27 November 2024 (UTC)

- Delete: Nothing but primary sources and namedrops. Fails the GNG, and doesn't come within a country mile of WP:ORG. Fascinating how the deprodding rationale was "see talk," without any discussion actually surfacing on the article's Talk page. Ravenswing 19:18, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
- It was in the edit comment of the talk page (see history). It said:
- There are a number of other small articles on community theaters in the Boston area, e.g. Arlington Friends of the Drama and The Footlight Club.
- Those articles are similar in scope and references to the one being considered. Tmshortt (talk) 01:49, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- There are many articles about the theater in local newspapers (Lowell Sun and (Acton) Assabet Valley Beacon) (via newspaperarchive.com) from the 1970s, but then the articles dry up. There's very little recent coverage as local papers are shutdown/acquired. Tmshortt (talk) 02:07, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- Delete. Promotional article about WP:MILL community theater group. Refs are mostly to their own website or tangential info about their location. No notable people involved. -- Ssilvers (talk) 21:21, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, there are no citable (online or otherwise) references for notable people who were involved with the theater, which includes both Alexandra Socha and Chris Evans. Tmshortt (talk) 01:42, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- As far as the WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS argument you make, those two articles you cite make referenced assertions of notability. There are also references which meet WP:GNG's requirement of significant coverage of the subject, which none of the references in this article come remotely close to meeting. If, indeed, there are reliable sources out there providing such coverage, they must be produced, not merely inferred.
As far as notable people involved with the theater, WP:NOTINHERITED debars notability by association. With that, though, there's a basic principle: if you cannot produce the necessary references, then an article on the subject cannot be sustained. Ravenswing 17:42, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
