Speedy deletion declined: Crispy Concords
[edit]Hello Royiswariii. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Crispy Concords, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me! 23:18, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, ThadeusOfNazereth! The article was obviously on A7 because they add the source of YouTube so fails on WP:RSYT and
all sources that was confusing and no connection on the source of the article. So can you double check it?some sources are aligned but still I don't think it was have a importance for that. Royiswariii Talk! 23:21, 28 November 2024 (UTC)- and they was WP:UNCIVIL because i nominated too many wrongdoings what they did. Royiswariii Talk! 23:23, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Royiswarii. This is a misunderstanding of how WP:A7 works - It's a significantly lower bar than WP:GNG. A7 does not require the sourcing to be sufficient, rather, it requires the article to completely lack a "credible claim of significance." That claim isn't based on the sources - it's based on whether or not the article makes a claim that, if true, would support noteworthiness. In this case, the article claims that he has released collaborations with a notable artist - That could support noteworthiness, so it cannot be deleted under A7. It could go through an AfD, which is why I nominated the article for deletion.
- I have no opinion on the unicivility claim as I don't have any context on who you're talking about there. ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me! 23:27, 28 November 2024 (UTC)

+rollback
[edit]Hi Royiswariii,
After reviewing your request, I have added your account to the rollback group. Keep in mind these things when using rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Users should be informed (or warned) after their edits have been reverted. If warnings repeatedly don't help, WP:ANI is the default place to go. In cases of very clear ongoing intentional damage to the encyclopedia, WP:AIV can be used.
- Reverting someone's edits may confuse or upset them. Whenever other users message you on your talk page, please take the time to respond to their concerns; accountability is important. For most users who message you, the tone and quality of your answer will permanently influence their opinion about Wikipedia in general.
- Because the plain default rollback link does not provide any explanatory edit summary, it must not be used to revert good faith contributions, even if these contributions are disruptive. Take the time to write a proper summary whenever you're dealing with a lack of neutrality or verifiability; a short explanation like "
[[WP:NPOV|not neutral]]
" or "[[WP:INTREF|Please provide a citation]]
" is helpful. - Rollback may never be used to edit war, which you'll notice to be surprisingly tempting in genuine content disputes. Please especially keep the three-revert rule in mind. If you see others edit warring, please file a report at WP:ANEW. The most helpful essay I've ever seen is WP:DISCFAIL; it is especially important for those who review content regularly.
- If you encounter private information or threats of physical harm during your patrols, please quickly use Special:EmailUser/Oversight or Special:EmailUser/Emergency; ideally bookmark these pages now. See WP:OS and WP:EMERGENCY for details. If you're regularly patrolling recent changes, you will need both contacts sooner or later, and you'll be happy about the bookmarks.
To try rollback for the first time, you may like to make an edit to WP:Sandbox, and another one, and another one, and then revert the row with one click. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about rollback. Thank you for your time and work in cleaning up Wikipedia. Happy editing!
Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 11:47, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
The Red River Ramblers
[edit]I noticed you rejected The Red River Ramblers article due to " don't see anything notability of this band". You are incorrect and perhaps have not read your own source. Wikipedia:Notability (music)#Criteria for musicians and ensembles number 8 mentions: "Has won or been nominated for a major music award, such as a Grammy, Juno, Mercury, Choice or Grammis award. Note that this requires the person or band to have been the direct recipient of a nomination in their own name, and is not passed by playing as a session musician on an album whose award citation was not specifically for that person's own contributions." The Red River Ramblers were in fact nominated for a Juno award as Traditional Indigenous Artists. I find it troubling that you are going our of your way to deny an Indigenous band the right to have a Wikipedia page, especially when your grounds for rejection contradict your own sources. In fact, other Indigenous groups have a Wikipedia page already, as nominees of a Juno award. The article clearly states the band has been nominated for a Juno. The article will be re-submitted, please do not reject it and keep yourself busy with topics you understand. Clearly you know nothing about Indigenous peoples of North America. JohnBrazeau (talk) 00:55, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- @JohnBrazeau, You didn't provide any background or history of the band, even have a accolades it's not met the criteria on WP:BLP since they are alive. Royiswariii Talk! 01:13, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- You are wrong again. Did you even read the article? Here, let me give it to you again and let me ask you...is it the year 2024 currently? So is information from events in 2019 considered history or the past? You keep creating false criteria for rejection.
- The Red River Ramblers are a band in the Canadian province of Manitoba that performs Métis fiddle music. The band was founded by Métis musician Douglas Richard Sinclair, who is a citizen of the Manitoba Métis Federation.
- Sinclair founded the band in February 2019. The band's first record, titled "Metis Fiddle Music", features banjo renditions of traditional Métis fiddle tunes. The band recorded the entire record live off the floor at Lincoln County Social Club, a recording studio owned by John Dinsmore in Toronto, Ontario.
- Sinclair composed original Métis fiddle compositions and released them on his record titled "Reverie", on January 8th 2023. The band received a Juno Award nomination for Traditional Indigenous Artist of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2024. JohnBrazeau (talk) 14:22, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- It's still failed on WP:BLP since the band was alive, the Draft:The Red River Ramblers wasn't notable at all event have a Juno Award, although, it's on notability criteria but, the thing is this is your first article and we can't just accept like a snap. If we do that, it is a violation on Reviewing Instructions of AfC. Since this is your first you might read this Help:Your first article. If you want a help, you can discuss this on Teahouse with experienced editors or you can search some similar articles as a inspiration or have a idea to expand your draft. Royiswariii Talk! 14:43, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- Show me the exact criteria in quotes on Wikipedia:BLP that the article draft does not follow. When I search Wikipedia:BLP for the word "alive", nothing comes up. JohnBrazeau (talk) 14:51, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- WP:COMMONSENSE, you just obviously search "alive"? It's a common sense that alive band is a BLP (Biographies of Living Person), they are alive unless a news that prove that they are all died. The argument here that your draft article is obviously not notable even have a Awards, It's a lack of information about the band like who are they? how they formed? the successful of their band such things like that.
