Thank you for uploading File:Gedera panorama.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
If you look at the file on commons you see that it has been tagged as an exact duplicate of another, which has been uploaded as "own work". I think the answer here is to use that original file: Commons:File:Gedera 0181.jpg, and in general place images on commons first, except for fair-use images which are not allowed on commons. --Mirokado (talk) 02:54, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed this edit, which adds some information to the article Artillery Corps. Firstly, by "produced" did you mean "locally produced"? Because right now I don't quite understand what it means. Also, the source seems to be some kind of RSS feed (or something), which I can't seem to be able to access. Can you? —Ynhockey(Talk)12:30, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! I went on the Germans page and saw that on the collage they put Einstein and Marx, who were obviously not German. I opened a discussion on the topic on the talk page, and I got a bunch of Germans saying Jews are not an ethnic group but a religion. Could you join the discussion and help explain them that Jews are an ethnic group and Einstein (who identified as a Jew) and Marx are Jewish.
Umm, this IS the Nazi definition of German you are following. Maybe you want to go look in the mirror and see if you are the true Nazi. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.20.75 (talk) 16:34, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again, Reenem. I'm dropping by your talk page to address two recent edits you made. Regarding this edit that you made to the Orgasm article, you have to be careful about what type of sources you add and to not conflate research. This source that you added is a poor source for this information. For the Orgasm article, and any other article concerning anatomy and/or health, we should generally use WP:MEDRS-compliant sources. For example, the first source that you added is WP:MEDRS compliant, though peer-reviewed journal sources are often better than book sources. However, with that second edit you made, you conflated research because combining the material in the way that you did (without specifying in the text the people responsible for the other research) made it seem as though the two pieces you added are things that Rudie Kortekaas was reporting. I have since fixed it (and also fixed that typo I made). Flyer22 (talk) 03:49, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Reenem! I'm delighted to see you decided to join the WDL project. Welcome! We don't have a lot of content related to Israel just yet, but, we do have a to-do list for Middle Eastern related content here. You never know what might strike your fancy. Of course, we don't have everything on those to-do lists yet - so be sure to watchlist it so you'll see when more stuff is added. I just did a search for Israel on the WDL website and found these results. So still some work to do! If I can help with anything just ask, and be sure to share your results here. We have an easy way to now cite WDL resources. You can learn more about it on our news page, here.
Our to-do list is being expanded and features newly digitized and created resources from libraries and archives around the world, including content from Sweden, Qatar, the Library of Congress, and more! You can discover new content for dissemination here.
WDL project has new userbox for you to post on your userpage and celebrate your involvement. Soffredo created it, so please be sure to thank them on their talk page. You can find the userbox and add it to your page here.
Hello, I see from some of your recent edits that you have a tendency to put a raw URL in a footnote reference and nothing else. It would be very helpful if you would format the reference properly rather than leave it for somebody else to do. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Regarding this: "I'm expanding this, and I'm also going to add material from an old section in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War article about British diplomacy in support of the Arabs"
I must have removed most of the material that you added because it is a WP:FRINGE point of view that British would have supported the Arabs against Israel. That's part of the propaganda on this period.
British supported Abdallah's plan to conquer the Arab side of Palestine and therefore they was "opposed" to Egypt and to Palestinians. Even this was made with limitation given the embargo harmed only the Arabs and despite everybody knews it didn't affect Israel they maintainted this.
I am ready to collaborate with you on this topic but this must 1st be done on a talk page before introducing material in any article.

I noticed your recent edit to Narendra Modi does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Perhaps so. But every edit needs a summary. Especially when you move text from one place to another, it is useful to have a summary line that says that stuff has been moved but with adding/deleting any content. Cheers, Kautilya3 (talk) 14:28, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Hemed.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or

You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

Sudanese human rights activist Simon Deng, writing for the Gatestone Institute, has criticized Desmond Tutu for referring to Israel as an apartheid state, stating that Arabs in Israel enjoy a variety of rights that blacks in apartheid-era South Africa did not, including the right to vote, and that Palestinians are only stopped at checkpoints to prevent attacks. Deng asks why Tutu criticizes Israel for apartheid policies it does not have, but ignores what Deng believes to be actual apartheid practices in other countries such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, and especially his own country Sudan.[1]
For the third time, please fix your signature. It doesn't actually display correctly for starters, causes technical problems for Wikipedia's HTML5 rendering, and creates work for editors fixing errors in Category:Pages using invalid self-closed HTML tags. They will have to constantly clean up after you for every single signed comment you make, when all it would take on your end is following the guidance you've been given. Thanks. Wikipedia editor Usernamekiran just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:
Would you please add what "Welfare in Israel" is, in the lead? I mean, if it is a government initiative/programme, or a government department, or a private department supervised by government? I tried to find it myself, but couldnt find it. Thanks again.
To reply, leave a comment on Usernamekiran's talk page.
It contains invalid HTML, and therefore does not do what you (probably) intended but instead just creates some disruption by throwing error messages. I see this has been mentioned to you repeatedly...could you please fix it? Not doing so (or even bothering to respond to others' concerns) is against our sitewide Wikipedia:Signatures behavior guideline, a standard that all users are expected to follow. Thank you for uploading File:Shamir.jpg.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hello Reenem. Was wondering how you know so much about Shimi Tavori? There were a few details in the article which only a few people know about, such as his son Daniel playing drums on one of his records. Thanks for your input.

Hebrew Wikipedia was my main source, along with Israeli news. This was my source for Daniel Tavori playing the drum on one of his records. I literally put the citation in the article. It's been reported in the media, not exactly a secret.--RM (Be my friend) 17:05, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take no more than 1-2 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.
I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.
I understand your edit, but could you please search a source for IDF, PLO and Syrian casualties during the siege? Leaving only the civilian Lebanese casualties gives the false impresion that there were no military casualties. Thanks.--יניב הורון (talk) 17:33, 12 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed your recent edit to Yoram Kaniuk does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete or generic . Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact source (such as web page, or printed document) where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
No it wasn't. I assumed that there would be few problems using it here if it was already used on Hebrew Wikipedia. If you're not sure perhaps asking the original uploader is in order.--RM (Be my friend) 11:34, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I see that User:Alarics mentioned this to you 7 years ago and it's disappointing to see that you are still just adding Google books urls as references. What someone sees when they look at the link depends on what part of the world they live in, and thus they do not give enough information to verify it or even see if it's a reliable source. When you cite books you must provide title, author, publisher, date of publication and page numbers. It's easy to do, see Help:Referencing for beginners. It's vital that you do that and I've reverted some of your edits where you haven't. You also are not leaving edit summaries, and if editors don't understand why you made the changes you made and aren't sure if they are an improvement, it's reasonable for them to revert them. I'll leave a message below about edit summaries.
Did I just add the book without a direct link to the page? My bad, I typically link to the page inside the book in Google Books where the thing I want mentioned in the article is mentioned. I'll take a closer look and try to add in more info like title and author as well. I don't recall the conversation from 7 years ago, in any event I'll see what I can do about that, in the vast majority of Google Book sources I've used I linked to directly within the book.--RM (Be my friend) 14:28, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The discussion thread is already off on a thousand tangents, so I thought I would bring my question here. You wrote: "Funny how you argue the fallacy of division when right above you were comparing the situation in the West Bank to the bantustans of South Africa, implying that they were similar to what is going on in the West Bank."
I am struggling to understand how that is a fallacy of division?
You kept arguing that calling these bantustans isn't necessarily calling Israel an apartheid state, that doing so is a fallacy of division (despite the fact that this argument is nearly always brought up when people want to compare Israel to an apartheid state). Then when someone tells you that the term "areas under Palestinian rule" is imperfect but better than bantustans, you go on to imply that actually Area A is closer to South African bantustans.--RM (Be my friend) 11:23, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You said that it's fallacy of division to assume just because you called these enclaves bantustans then it's apartheid, and then you heavily implied you think the situation is pretty close to how it was in South Africa.--RM (Be my friend) 12:11, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I’m from Israel
Some of the information isn’t true..
9 deaths and 500+ wounded
And in Gaza 100 of the deaths were actually terrorists
It’s important to mention that Hamas sent 1800 rockets to Israel and 300 lended in Gaza, so Israel didn’t kill innocent children. The IDF tells them to leave they just don’t...
The rockets I’m getting on a daily basis are war crimes.! Israel hasn’t done any war crimes.!
I’m currently sitting in a bomb shelter, in fear. And yes, it’s not Gaza, it’s Israel. Israel is under attack.
And the media is only showing one side and people are stupid enough to believe that. Seagull2000 (talk) 14:57, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. Thanks! Rsk6400 (talk) 05:06, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Wars and the Israel-Palestine conflict...please fill out my survey?
Hello :)
I am writing my MA dissertation on Wikipedia Wars and the Israel-Palestine conflict, and I noticed that you have contributed to those pages. My dissertation will look at the process of collaborative knowledge production on the Israel-Palestine conflict, and the effect it has on bias in the articles. This will involve understanding the profiles and motivations of editors, contention/controversy and dispute resolution in the talk pages, and bias in the final article.
For more information, you can check out my meta-wiki research page or my user page, where I will be posting my findings when I am done.
I would greatly appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to fill out this quick surveybefore 8 August 2021.
Participation in this survey is entirely voluntary and anonymous. There are no foreseeable risks nor benefits to you associated with this project.
Request for inputs: A Peer review request has been made for the article Women's shelter to brainstorm and understand information gaps and uncovered areas and to receive a broader perspective on how it may be improved, please do share your inputs at the review page.
