Disbandment?

[edit]

It seems like they dissolved. 2A02:3030:A00:5A41:7F8:62E0:EE31:9283 (talk) 21:50, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Dissolution confirmed.

[edit]

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/kurdish-pkk-dissolves-after-decades-struggle-with-turkey-news-agency-close-2025-05-12/ It should be noted after the statement of the leader that the pkk has finally disbandet. PearLover89 (talk) 11:03, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The organisation still exists, the 12 party congress just announced plans for the organisations dissolving for some point in the future. It shouldn't be listed as dissolved at the moment though it's plans (which imo are likely to achieved some point in the next 3 months will be realised). AssanEcho (talk) 11:33, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for clarification, though isnt it still worthy of a line mentioning it? 41.66.98.90 (talk) 16:05, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think it'd be best to still write the article in the present tense but still leave the sentences and bit in history stating that the Congress and ordained to dissolve the org AssanEcho (talk) 17:05, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

ideology

[edit]

I noticed someone added in the ideology section Stalinism and Maoism from 1978-2005. I don't believe the source substantiated this claim of Stalinism. and as for Maoism there is no source. While they were Marxist Leninist from 1979-2005. I don't think the label of Stalinism and Maoism is accurate in this context and should best be removed. unless a better source is provided SKFFL (talk) 19:52, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. PearLover89 (talk) 06:26, 16 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Rojava as a state ally

[edit]

would Rojava count as a "State ally" because it is a De-facto state? JaxsonR (talk) 22:04, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

DAANES / AANES has never claimed to be a state. Yue🌙 01:27, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
are you aware of what de-facto means? JaxsonR (talk) 01:37, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There is SDF as non-state ally. Elazığ Ahmet (talk) 18:35, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
SDF is the military of DAANES JaxsonR (talk) 18:39, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
DAANES or whatever, that's not even recognized by any country. If you have source could you put here ? Elazığ Ahmet (talk) 18:40, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
de-facto, Google it bro JaxsonR (talk) 18:41, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Same case for North Cyprus then. Elazığ Ahmet (talk) 18:42, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
exactly my point JaxsonR (talk) 18:43, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Taiwan is a de-facto country with its own government, and military. Just like rojava JaxsonR (talk) 18:42, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Alright bud if these both de-facto states will be added here, im in. Elazığ Ahmet (talk) 18:44, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
but is Northern cyprus an opponent? JaxsonR (talk) 18:45, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, Northern Cyprus backs Turkey. Elazığ Ahmet (talk) 18:46, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
against the PKK? idk about that man JaxsonR (talk) 18:55, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
PKK was not operating only in Southeast Turkey, they had cells in Northern Cyprus too. Elazığ Ahmet (talk) 18:57, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
find a source and add it brother JaxsonR (talk) 19:51, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, and DAANES / AANES is not a de facto state. Any example of a de facto state has at least declared independence unilaterally, something DAANES / AANES have never done. If you have a reliable source describing DAANES / AANES as a state, you may add it to this article and the main article for DAANES / AANES. Otherwise, your personal opinion that you imposed on the DAANES / AANES, because again they have never declared independence, is irrelevant. Yue🌙 18:57, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
i was wrong, they only declared self governance. JaxsonR (talk) 19:45, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
