Post July 2019

[edit]

Abortion status post July 2019 is unclear to me in this article. It appears to be written prior to July 2019 and anticipate the 'heartbeat' law would go into effect in July 2019, but I don't know it that is the case. I did find https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-abortion-ohio/u-s-judge-blocks-ohio-heartbeat-law-to-end-most-abortions-idUSKCN1TY2PK which says a federal judge blocked the Ohio 'heartbeat' law in July of 2019. I don't know if there has been additional legal action. Gouncbeatduke (talk) 13:24, 20 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Updated Information

[edit]

Related to the topic that is hanging in this Talk page: The current Ohio law has not been legally interpreted by third-parties since the law went into effect in July 2019, at least to my research. This Wiki page was updated with a current interpretation, citing the ORC directly. The letter of the law matches up, so I am appropriately adjusting the page. Please discuss if you have other interpretations of the law text, not an outdated article.Jamberpilot (talk) 05:09, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Clinics in Ohio are currently offering legal abortions to women who request them up to 22 weeks LMP. This is an objective and indisputable fact. VictimOfEntropy (talk) 05:14, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I see what you're trying to say now. However, you could have made the proper adjustments to reinsert that rather than vandalize legitimate information. The current (22 week LMP) is based on current legal status, not Ohio code. If the federal courts change stance, it would fall to the heartbeat law. That's my bad for not including that for 'current' , however you could have simply reinserted that. Your approach to immediate reversion was belligerent. All information should be provided. Jamberpilot (talk) 05:23, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You are the only vandal here, Jamberpilot. You crated this account after you started vandalizing this page with false and deliberately misleading information. VictimOfEntropy (talk) 05:28, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This account is from 2015. I think you may need some sleep. Please stop being unreasonable. We're here to deliver good information in good spirit, and it's clear you aren't. Jamberpilot (talk) 05:36, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Luckily I and another user were able to catch and revert your vandalism both as an IP and with this account relatively quickly. Hopefully no one was mislead by your false information. VictimOfEntropy (talk) 05:30, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop accusing me of what you yourself are guilty of, Jamberpilot. You only switched to this account after your IP vandalism was undone. VictimOfEntropy (talk) 05:52, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Updated with the appropriate information, so we can close this thread now. Thank for your service. Jamberpilot (talk) 06:46, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

So you are lying again. You are continuing to vandalize after leaving that message and seeing this: https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2021/09/02/1033727679/fetal-heartbeat-isnt-a-medical-term-but-its-still-used-in-laws-on-abortion VictimOfEntropy (talk) 07:12, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Both of you, please stop accusing each other of lying and of vandalism; those sorts of accusations should not be made at article talk pages.
Jamberpilot, you need to take a look at WP:OR and WP:PRIMARY. I only glanced briefly at the edits you wanted to make, but it looks like you were writing content based on your own interpretation of state legal codes - that would not strike me as being appropriate. Either way, your changes have been contested, so you will need to establish a consensus for the challenged material to be included. Girth Summit (blether) 08:15, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
