Shout outs
I update this page with stuff that I think is worth shouting out.
In no particular order:
- Birds, for real life go watch some birds. They’re beautiful.
- CenterMouse, an honestly useful utility application for macOS if you ever loose track of your mouse
- Two Shades of Brown, the only tech podcast I’ve ever enjoyed 🫗 🪦 🤞
- Voxels, from the minds that brought you Two Shades of Brown!
- Jane Austen, if you haven’t read a novel by Jane Austen I think you should. They’re less fuddy-duddy than you probably think, and are really very good. Charlotte Brontë, too!
- Banana Yoshimoto, her books are understated and haunting
- Terry Pratchett, his books are technicolor, tender and sharply observant in unexpected ways
- This Is How You Lose the Time War, a book about love, and love, and love and time, and letters
- The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi, a queer, swashbuckling adventure with magic, and pirates
- My blogroll!
- Wiby, and other directories of the small web — see also marginalia and lieu
