Woo In is one of the main characters in the manhwa, Eleceed. He was Dr. Delein's student, though after his arrest, he is placed under the custody of the Awakened Union and is a classmate of Jiwoo Seo. His main ability is Telekinesis. He is an independent awakener and has attended the Awakened Academy with the recommendation from the Awakened Union.
Background[]
As a child, Woo In grew up in an orphanage, hiding his power from others. But due to his awakened physiology, he was shown by others to have enhanced strength, reflexes, and healing factor compared to normal people. He was taken from the orphanage by unknown individuals, who secretly conducted human body experiments on him for the purpose of medical discovery. Woo In was eventually picked up by Dr. Delein, saving him from further experiments. He was taught how to use his powers by the professor and adopted his style of using telekinesis.[1] They were always on the run and wandered from place to place, making Woo In switch schools constantly. He wasn't able to make friends due of this, until he met Jiwoo.
During his time with Dr. Delein, Woo In was often abused and mistreated whenever he made a mistake or failed a task assigned to him by the professor. He often assisted Dr. Delein in experimenting on animals. Whenever an animal was close to death, Woo In would leave the animal to a veterinarian with money against Dr. Delein’s knowledge to have it treated.
He's very powerful and roughly at the same level as Jisuk. He's later evaluated to be one of the most powerful awakened people in his age group in South Korea.
Appearance[]

Woo In has very short black hair and gray eyes. He is often seen wearing round-rimmed glasses only in school which causes bullies to mistake him for being a nerd. He has a very tall, slim, and muscular build, being around the same height as Jisuk.
His school uniform consists of a grey blazer, a light blue tie, a white polo shirt and sneakers. His academy uniform consists of a black track jacket with red trim, black track pants and sneakers, which he is also seen wearing it outside of the academy.[2]
For his casual wear, he is first seen wearing a grey-turquoise varsity jacket with a plain white shirt underneath and greyish blue pants and socks.[3] It's shown that Woo In frequently wears jackets-whether they're long coats or just jackets-with either a plain shirt or turtleneck underneath it.
Personality[]
Woo In has a very gentle and reserved personality that belies his powerful abilities and fighting prowess. His love for Jajangmyeon also helps add a layer of relatability to him. It is suggested in chapter 173 that his love for Jjangmyeon is because it is one of the first meals Dr. Delein fed him. Woo In has always been cautious of what others would think and was never able to make decisions on his own. Now that he's on his own, he wants to be responsible for making his own decisions. This is why he rejects the Union's offer to join them.
He is not very expressive and rarely smiles. He's a quiet and cautious person, but will fight for his friends and always help them in times of need. He is always ready to help his friends no matter what especially to fight evil. After hearing Jiwoo had been sent to the hospital by Jisuk, he immediately picked a fight with him and wouldn't back down, no matter how many times he was told to. He can be surprisingly stubborn and rebellious, which amuses Dr. Delein, who calls him a gentle and well-behaved kid. When questioned by the Union agent watching Woo In, he says that Woo In would've had a reason to act out and wouldn't do that without a good reason.
He adores cats and possibly all animals. When Dr. Delein was experimenting on animals, he would often lie and claim the experimental subjects died and take them to veterinarians and leave money behind for the vet to cure them. Because of Jiwoo's influence, he also tends to feed stray cats and when he hangs out at Jiwoo's house, he is often seen playing with Jiwoo's cats (excluding the Awakened cat who is wary of him and Casein Nitrate) in the background.
He also seems to have a large apetite. In addition to his love of jjangmyeon, of which he can eat three bowls in one sitting, he is often showing eating snacks or thinking of food (usually jjangmyeon but on a few occasions he has thought of other foods such as a bowl of hot korean noodle soup (ch. 222). In one chapter when Gangseok comes over to issue a friendly spar with Jiwoo (and to confront Jisuk for annoying him over the phone and annoying his calls), Jiwoo asks Ganseok to stay and offers him Woo In's extra bowl of jjangmyeon causing him to tear up in the background.
Abilities and Fighting Prowess[]
Woo In’s main ability is telekinesis. He can quickly immobilize his opponents by sending out black slashes of aura towards his opponents. He often attacks immediately after the fight starts, catching his opponent off guard. Woo In's power is very strong and can seriously injure his opponents. His fighting and combat ability is around the same as Jisuk’s level.
Telekinesis: His ability has a black aura with a red light that is very similar to Dr. Delein's. He can quickly immobilize his opponents by sending out black slashes of aura towards his opponents. He can also send out quick bursts or spirals of his ability for long range attacks. His control over his ability is very high.
Superhuman Durability: Most broken bones and severe injuries would be critical to the average human, but since he is an awakened one most of these injuries are not serious. Awakened ones can recover in no time.

- Out of all of Jiwoo's cats, the plain black cat seems to like Woo In the most after Jiwoo Seo and Kayden.
- Woo In is rather a fan of cats even when he was young, and thanks to the influence of Jiwoo Seo feeding stray cats, he does it as well.
- He wore round-rimmed glasses, but during his match with Jisuk Yoo, his glasses were destroyed.[7]
- It remains unknown where he gets his new pairs of glasses.
- He is often fed Jajangmyeon by Jiwoo Seo to the point where Subin Lee and Jisuk Yoo call him Jajangmyeon addict.
