Brightbill is the tritagonist in the DreamWorks film, The Wild Robot. He is an orphaned runt barnacle and canada goose hybrid who is raised by Roz as her own son.

Background[]

Brightbill's story begins when he was just a chick after his family was taken by tragedy. Being a parent isn't in Roz's programming, but that really isn't up to her once an infant Brightbill imprints on her. Raising Brightbill takes a village, essentially since he was the runt of his respective litter, but as he grows up and nears adulthood, Roz will do everything in her power to see him grow up right.

Official Description[]

Raised by a robot, Brightbill grows up before our very eyes, going from vulnerable hatchling to determined adolescent. As he enters adulthood, the character must navigate an avian world that sees him as a total outsider because of his unconventional upbringing.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Kit Connor voices Brightbill in an American accent.
  • The Spanish dub calls him "Brillo" which translates to "Shine".
