"Unhappy Medium" is the fourth episode of the fourth season of Disney Channel's That's So Raven and the eighty-second episode overall. It premiered on March 17, 2006. It was written by Josh Lynn and Danny Warren and directed by Rich Correll.
A teen horror movie is being shot at Bayside High and one of Raven's favorite actors, Nikki Logan, is playing the lead. When Raven has a vision of Nikki choking on Taffy and tackles her to stop it, Nikki suspects she's psychic. Raven doesn't want to reveal her secret and denies her ability until Nikki announces she's playing a psychic in the film and needs someone to help her understand the part. Raven can't resist the chance to hang out with a star and agrees to be Nikki's mentor. But when Nikki gets bored, Raven fakes eccentric psychic behavior to keep her around. But when she has a vision of Nikki being told she's the worst actress on earth, Raven must tell her the truth about being psychic. Teen actress Nikki Logan arrives at Bayside High School to shoot a new movie. But when Raven has a vision that Nikki's going to choke from eating taffy, she saves her from it. She asks Raven how she knows this will occurs, but when she says she is a psychic, Nikki reveals she's playing a psychic character in the new movie and asks that if Raven would mind to be one a pointer. Raven is happy to help, as it also means joining Nikki's circle. Due to some expired Orange Juice, Nikki thinks that Raven's trying to talk to the dead. Raven explains that her visions don't come all the time and that she have one of the Orange Juice, causing Nikki to leave. Raven later invites Nikki back and acts like a fake psychic using quotes from various Movies. Nikki believes this will be her ticket to being taken seriously, thanks Raven and says that if her performance it met with positive reviews, she'll allow Raven to come along to Malibu. As Nikki leaves, Raven then has a vision that Nikki's performance will cause her to be fired on the set. Worried about her vision, Raven starts planning how to save Nikki from be fired. During the middle of filming, with Nikki doing Raven's "performance" Raven tells her on the set but it turns out that Raven is the one to be fired. During the break Raven explains to Nikki but she doesn't care and reveals that she lied to Raven about bringing her to Malibu, leaving Raven heartbroken at how Shallow Nikki really is. Then Raven has a third vision that Nikki's performance will be met with scathing reviews, so much that her beach house in Malibu will be taken away. Since Raven thinks Nikki deserves it, she didn't tell her.
