Tate Buckley Donovan is an American actor, voice actor, and director. For Disney, he provided the voice of the titular character in the 1997 Disney animated feature film Hercules, and has since reprised the role in most of the character's subsequent appearances, including the television series of the same name, House of Mouse, and the Kingdom Hearts series since Kingdom Hearts II. He also voiced Gobu in The Legend of Tarzan and played Peter Jacobson in the 1994 Hollywood Pictures film Holy Matrimony and Howard Plummer in the 2005 film The Pacifier. Additionally, he directed a few episodes of the Freeform series The Fosters.
Donovan was born in Tenafly, New Jersey and attended Dwight-Englewood School, before transferring to Tenafly High School and attending the University of Southern California. He is best known for his role as Jimmy Cooper in the American teen drama TV series The O.C. His other television credits include Tales from the Crypt, Partners, Homicide: Life on the Street, Ally McBeal, Damages, Hostages, Elementary, The Man in the High Castle, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and MacGyver.
Among his film credits, Donovan has played Carson Drew in the 2007 adaptation of Nancy Drew and Bo Anders in Argo. He also appeared in Inside Monkey Zetterland, Love Potion No. 9, Good Night and Good Luck, Manchester by the Sea, Elvis & Nixon, Rocketman, Respect, and Silver Bells with Anne Heche.

- For unknown reasons, Tate Donovan did not return to reprise his role as Hercules in the first Kingdom Hearts game where instead he was voiced by Sean Astin. He did, however, return to reprise his role as Hercules since Kingdom Hearts II.
- He was engaged to Jennifer Aniston, until they broke up in 1998. Following their split, Donovan then appeared in Aniston's show Friends' as Joshua, who would date her character Rachel Green for a short time in Season 4.
