Development History[]
The Pirate Captain is one of the characters created for the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction which first opened at Disneyland in 1967. He was displayed in the Isla Tesoro scene with the other pirates.
Due to the success of the attraction at Disneyland, the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction was later constructed at Magic Kingdom, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris still featuring the Pirate Captain in it.
Formerly in the California, Florida, and Tokyo version of the attraction, the Pirate Captain was replaced by Hector Barbossa as of the post-2006 revamp in the California, Florida, and Tokyo version resulting in the Pirate Captain from the battle scene to be removed from the attraction, while he could still be seen in the Paris version of the attraction.

Film Appearances[]
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End[]
The Hai Peng sails to World's End, a massive waterfall, and ends up in Davy Jones' Locker. This was taken from the ride in which a ship from present-day goes down a waterfall, and ends up in the era of pirates. The film crew even embellished the effect by putting the various audio from the ride, specifically to make that connection. One of the audio is a line said by the Pirate Captain, "Strike yer colors, ya bloomin' cockroachers! By thunder, we'll see ya to Davy Jones! ".
