"Mickey's Treat" is the seventeenth episode of the first season of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It originally aired on Playhouse Disney (now known as Disney Jr.) on October 28, 2006.

Plot[]

Pete invites everyone to a Halloween party at the Trick or Treat Tower, but no one has come to his parties before, so Mickey and his friends try to fix that by hurrying to the tower before the moon fills.

Synopsis[]

The episode begins in the Clubhouse with Mickey greeting the viewers. The Clubhouse mailbox then appears, and Mickey opens it to find an invitation to a Halloween party at Pete's Trick or Treat Tower. Pete mentions that no one has ever come to his parties before, so Mickey decides for the gang to go to the party to make him happy. They then arrive in their respective costumes (Minnie as a witch, Daisy as little bo-peep, Donald as a cowboy, Goofy as a knight, and Pluto as a bee) ready to go trick-or-treating. Mickey then puts on his magician costume before they go to the Halloween party. Once he mentions where it is, Donald rejects the idea, but decides to go along after being persuaded by Minnie and Daisy.

Mickey and Goofy then go to the telescope to see where Pete's Trick or Treat Tower is. Mickey first sees Christmas Tower, then Valentine's Day Tower, and then Halloween Tower. He also sees the magic Halloween Moon, which is a quarter now. The gang needs to be at Trick or Treat Tower before the moon is full, or the gates of the tower will lock. The tower is past the candy corn patch and the woods. Mickey and Goofy tell the others that they need to get to the tower before the moon is full so they can celebrate Halloween. Mickey then goes to the Mousekedoer to pick up his Mouseketools: a Jack-o'-lantern, a garbage can lid, a carrot, and the Mystery Mouseketool (a magnet).

The gang is ready to go, but Goofy is missing something from his costume, that being a shield. So, Mickey calls Toodles for the garbage can lid, which can be used as a shield (he at first considers the carrot, but decides that it won't work). They then go to Trick or Treat Tower. However, they come across the candy corn patch. Since the only way to go past them is to go over, Donald has a rope, but quickly gets it all over himself. So, the others help him do so, and they soon make it to the other side of the patch. However, Goofy just eats his way through the candy corn before the gang continues heading to Trick or Treat Tower.

Minnie sees the half moon while Mickey sees Trick or Treat Tower behind the trees. While heading through the woods, fog blocks their path. So, Mickey calls Toodles for the Jack-o'-lantern, as it is used to see through the foggy woods, but they still need to figure out how to get through it. Meanwhile, Donald gets scared by an owl with glasses, who tells them to follow the path to get through the woods. Mickey uses the light to see a path, which they follow out of the woods. Meanwhile, with the moon three-quarters full, Mickey sees Trick or Treat Tower ahead.

They make it to the tower as the drawbridge lowers, but while crossing the bridge, they come across frogs getting in the way. Goofy uses his shield to block them off, but a large frog knocks it into the moat. With Daisy and Donald unable to reach it with their staff and rope, Mickey calls Toodles for a Mouseketool. However, the only Mouseketools left are the carrot and the Mystery Mouseketool. Even if they chose carrot, it would not stick to the shield. So instead, they chose the mystery Mouseketool, which is a magnet. Combined with Donald's rope, it gets the shield out of the moat, as it is made of metal. They are about to enter the tower when they are confronted by Pete. After they explain things to him, he is glad that he finally has guests, but even so, they must pay to enter with either a trick or a treat. Mickey decides to pull a rabbit out of a hat at Pete's suggestion, although he doesn't have one. So, he calls Toodles for the carrot, which rabbits eat.

Mickey then uses the carrot to make the rabbit appear out of the hat and Pete likes it, and allows the gang into the party. He then becomes sad because he didn't think anyone would show up, and thus doesn’t have a costume. Mickey suggests they each give Pete a piece of their costumes. This leads to Pete having a great costume. Mickey notices the full moon, and the gang celebrate Halloween with Pete. Mickey wishes the viewers a happy Halloween, and the gang heads back into the Clubhouse and does the Hot Dog Dance. The episode ends with everyone exiting the Clubhouse as it disappears and Mickey waving goodbye to the viewers.

Characters[]

Mouseketools[]

  • A garbage can lid (to complete Goofy's costume) (Used first)
  • A Jack-o-lantern light (to see into the forest) (Used second)
  • A magnet (Mystery Mouseketool; to get Goofy's shield out of the moat) (Used third)
  • A carrot (to entice a rabbit from Pete's hat) (Used last) (Incorrect: A carrot won't stick to the shield)

Trivia[]

  • This is the third time Mickey had to be quiet during the Mouseketools segment after "Mickey Goes Fishing" and "Donald and the Beanstalk", but this is the first time it was used as the last Mouseketool.
  • This is the second one out of only two episodes where Mickey makes alternative dance moves for Mickey's Mousekedoer song. The first ones were "Donald and the Beanstalk" and "Mickey Goes Fishing".
  • Donald and Daisy dressing as a cowboy and Little Bo Peep respectively are much reminiscent of Woody and Bo Peep from the Toy Story franchise.
  • Daisy wears the same Little Bo Peep costume from "Daisy Bo-Peep".
  • The clip where Mickey says "Wahoo!" before going down the candy corn would later be reused for the 2nd version of the Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment "There is only one Disney" promo from 2007, replacing a scene from Chicken Little.
  • Like in "Daisy Bo-Peep" and "Pluto's Puppy-Sitting Adventure", the mystery Mouseketool change color, the color is orange but later it turns red.
  • After picking the last Mouseketool, Mickey normally says "We Used/Picked All of our Mousketools!" Before asking the viewers to say Super Cheers. However he instead says "We Got All of our Ears." Before asking the viewer to whisper Super Cheers. This marks the episode to do so.
  • In real life, the moon doesn't change its shape in a single night.
  • When attempting to retrieve Goofy's shield, Daisy could've thought of bending down a little further. Then her staff would be able to reach it.
  • There is a storybook based on this episode, but with several differences:
    • The book is titled Mickey's Halloween Treat.
    • The gang were already in their costumes at the start of the book.
    • The invitation that they received wasn't mentioned to be from Pete nor did Mickey know that no one has every came to his party.
    • When going up to the telescope (called Mousekespotter in the book), everyone went there instead of just Mickey and Goofy.
    • While looking for the Trick-or-Treat Tower, Christmas Tower, and Valentine's Tower weren't seen.
    • The candy corn patch, wise owl, and the frogs do not appear in the book. Also Goofy drops his shield into the moat by accident rather than being knocked into it by a large frog.
    • Arriving at the party before the moon is full is not mentioned in the book.
    • The carrot wasn't suggested before picking the garbage can lid and magnet.
    • Instead of paying with a magic trick to enter the party, the trick was simply made to entertain Pete before he can start the party.
    • The rabbit was fully seen outside of the hat in the book.

Goofs[]

  • Before Mickey goes up to the telescope, the middle circle is red, but when he comes down, it's yellow.
  • During the Mousekedoer song, Goofy is seen with the trash can lid, which he does not get until later on.
  • After the "It's Pete's Party" song, everyone's models (except for Mickey's and Pete's) are frozen.
  • When the group were giving Pete parts of their costumes, Goofy didn't had his shield anymore.
  • Before Mickey and Goofy go up to the telescope, Toodles can be seen resting in the Mouskedour, but his circles on the screen aren't moving.
  • When the Mousekedour song begin, it was different. Also before Mickey got to the Mouskedour, everyone disappeared (except Mickey of course).
  • The strangest goof.
Probably the most strangest goof in the entire show. Before Toodles flies to Mickey, You can see that the circles in his screen are like copied and pasted.
  • When Mickey thinks what Goofy needs for his costume, Toodles can be seen resting in the Mousekedour despite he literally flew away before.
  • In real life, owls do not wear glasses.
  • When it was foggy, the sky was grey.
  • When Minnie giggled, hey eyelashes disappeared for a second.
  • When Mickey and his friends saw the halloween tower, there was no path. But when they got closer a path appears magically.
  • It makes no sense for the frogs to jump on the bridge to get again down to the water.
  • At first it was night time, but when the Mickey and his friends got back at the clubhouse for Mousekedance, it is day time.
