"A Surprise for Minnie" is the second episode of the first season of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It originally aired on Playhouse Disney on May 6, 2006 and on Disney Jr. on February 14, 2011.
Synopsis[]
Mickey forgets it's Valentine's Day and has to make a card for Minnie.
Plot[]
The episode begins in the Clubhouse with Mickey greeting the viewers as Goofy runs in giving the mouse a Happy Valentine's Day gift, a heart-shaped cookie. Mickey realizes he forgot that today is Valentine's Day and hastily gives Goofy an old boot for a gift, which he enthusiastically accepts. Mickey then remembers that Valentine's Day is Minnie's favorite holiday. He then decides to make a gift for Minnie as he goes to the Mouse-ke-doer to pick up his Mouseketools: a pump, a box of crayons, a rose, and the Mystery Mouseketool.
Mickey switches the Anywhere Area from the living room to the kitchen, the bathroom, and then the Arts and Crafts Area and Donald soon arrives, also wanting to help Mickey make a gift for Minnie, but also intends to make a gift for Daisy. Mickey calls Toodles for the box of crayons so he can make a card for Minnie. He draws a heart and colors it pink (as it is Minnie's favorite color), but needs something to make it sparkle. Three Handy Helpers appear with a ball of yarn, a tube of sprinkles, and a cartoon of milk. Mickey selects the tube of sprinkles to finish the job. Donald also makes a card, but draws a square and colors it blue. Mickey and Donald then go to the roof to find Minnie, and use the telescope to find Minnie hanging out with Daisy and Pluto near the fountain at the Flower Garden in Mickey Park. Mickey and Donald then head to the garage so Mickey can drive his car to Mickey Park. However, along the way, Mickey's car gets a flat tire. Mickey searches the car's trunk for the spare tire but finds nothing useful other than golf clubs, a space helmet, and another stinky shoe. Mickey then calls Toodles for the pump (claiming that it will work better than the rose or the Mystery Mouseketool) so he can reinflate the tire. The tire changes into a square, a triangle, and finally a circle.
Mickey and Donald locate and arrive at Mickey Park but Pete stops them from entering the Flower Garden, demanding a fee of 5 petals from each of them. Mickey calls Toodles for the rose and gives Pete all 10 rose petals (though the last one falls under Pete's stand, the viewers help them find it), allowing himself and Donald entry. Mickey gives Minnie his card but Daisy starts to feel disappointed that Donald also forgot about her Valentine's Day gift. Mickey secretly calls Toodles one last time for the Mystery Mouseketool: a ribbon. He makes a bow out of the ribbon and slides it to Donald, allowing the duck to give Daisy a Valentine's Day gift. Goofy comes crashing in and spills his Valentine's Day cookies everywhere. Everyone then returns to the Clubhouse and does the Hot Dog Dance. The episode ends with everyone exiting the Clubhouse as it disappears and Mickey waving goodbye to the viewers.

Trivia[]
- This episode usually airs during the month of February since Valentine's Day falls during that month.
- Donald was allergic to the flowers.
- Most of the early elements from the previous episode are present here, except for:
- The design of the question mark used to represent the Mystery Mousketool; it has changed as of this episode.
- The amount of dots on Toodles' screensaver; there is now less dots on it, though he shows up with more dots in episodes Mickey's Art Show and Secret Spy Daisy in one shot.
- This is the first time the Mystery Mouseketool was chosen last.
- This is the first episode to use the Silly Switch, the Anywhere Lever, and the Telescope, and the first episode to have the animation of the characters returning to the clubhouse before the Hot Dog Dance when the dance begins if they were not in the clubhouse at the time.
- This is the first episode in which Pete appears.
- This is the only episode where fireworks were not displayed after the last mouseketool was chosen. However, fireworks were not displayed in "Space Adventure", because Mickey did not tell the viewers to say super cheers.
Goofs[]
- When Mickey says "You bet ya!" after he pulls up the Arts & Crafts area, his mouth does not move.
- When Goofy gives Mickey a heart-shaped cookie, the tops of the cookies are black instead of pink.
- When Mickey spots Minnie and Daisy through the telescope, Daisy is wearing her Little Bo-Peep outfit, which she wore in "Daisy Bo-Peep". However, when Mickey and Donald arrived at Mickey Park, Daisy is wearing her normal clothes.
- However, considering Mickey and Donald encountered Pete and were forced to pay him petals to enter the flower garden, Daisy most likely wore it as a disguise to trick Pete and avoid paying him petals.
