Martin Hayter Short, OC, is a Canadian-American actor, comedian, singer, writer, and producer, who is perhaps best known for his comedy works on Second City Television (SCTV) during its fifth and sixth seasons (though Short first appeared on the rarely-shown season three finale where the cast redubbed an episode of The Cisco Kid and wasn't made a cast member until the last few episodes of the show's fourth season) and Saturday Night Live during its tenth season from 1984–1985 (though Short has made cameos and returned to host SNL).
Short is also well-known for starring in various comedy films, such as Three Amigos, Innerspace, Three Fugitives, and Mars Attacks!. Additionally, he is known for voicing Stubbs the Clown in the 1993 Universal Pictures animated film We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story, Hubie in Don Bluth's 1995 MGM animated film The Pebble and the Penguin, and Huy and Stefano in DreamWorks' The Prince of Egypt and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (respectively).
For Disney, he portrayed Martin Harvey in Captain Ron, Franck Eggelhoffer in Father of the Bride and its 1995 sequel, Lionel Dillard in Mumford, Richard Kempster in Jungle 2 Jungle, and Jack Frost in The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. He also voiced B.E.N. in the 2002 animated feature film Treasure Planet, Lars in 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure, Edward Frankenstein, Mr. Burgermeister, and Nassor in Frankenweenie, and Mr. Kurokawa in the English dub of Studio Ghibli's The Wind Rises. Additionally, he played Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration. He currently plays Oliver Putnam in the Hulu series Only Murders in the Building, which he also produced.
Additionally, Short hosted the second version of the Circle-Vision 360° film O Canada! at Epcot's Canada Pavilion, starred in CinéMagique at Disneyland Paris, starred in the Monster Sound Show at Disney's Hollywood Studios, hosted The Making of Me at the former Wonders of Life pavilion at Epcot, and guest-starred in an episode of Muppets Tonight.

- Short was initially set to voice Bullseye in Toy Story 2, as he was originally going to have a speaking role in the movie, but John Lasseter decided to make him a non-speaking character, since he thought it would be more appealing to audiences.[citation needed]
