The Happiest Homecoming on Earth (the Happiest Celebration on Earth at all resorts other than Disneyland Resort) was a promotional celebration at all Disney parks around the world to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Disneyland, and thus Disney theme parks as a whole. The celebration started on May 5, 2005 and ended on September 30, 2006.
At Disneyland Resort[]
At the Disneyland Resort, the Happiest Homecoming on Earth saw the opening of new attractions Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!, as well as massive overhauls and meticulous refurbishments to existing attractions such as Space Mountain, Jungle Cruise and Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. Numerous new entertainment offerings were introduced, such as Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams, Remember... Dreams Come True, and Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years at Disneyland, and Block Party Bash as Disney's California Adventure.
Sleeping Beauty Castle also received an anniversary overlay with five crowns attached to five of the turrets, each representing a different decade of the park's history.
At Walt Disney World Resort[]

At the Walt Disney World Resort, each park received at least one new attraction during the celebration's run, which were often billed as "gifts" from the other Disney resorts.
- The Magic Kingdom would receive a version of Tokyo Disneyland's Cinderellabration show.
- Epcot received Soarin' from Disney's California Adventure
- Disney-MGM Studios received the Lights, Motors... Action! Stunt Show Spectacular from Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Resort Paris.
- Disney's Animal Kingdom received Expedition Everest, the one original attraction in the set.
Cinderella Castle would be decorated for the occasion with a magic mirror that would transform through stained glass window images of itself, Sleeping Beauty Castle, and Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant, covering all the castle designs at the five Disney resorts that existed at the time. Scattered all over the castle roof and turrets would be large golden statues of various Disney characters.
