Goldtrux is an evil Stegarbasaurus who is obsessed with gold. He was once a friend of Garby. He was another friendly Stegarbasaurus who simply loved finding rocks to eat. That is, until he discovered gold by eating a pile, after which he became obsessed with it, thus losing his friendly nature. As he kept searching for more gold, he rebuilt himself and had parts of his body encased in gold using Tools he kidnapped and dubbed himself "Goldtrux". He even made an underground cave into his own Golden Lair where he can store all his gold and trap all his slaves. Goldtrux desires to be a Dinotrux with all the gold he can find for himself.

- Goldtrux is a Dinotrux villain with a unique theme.
- He is a parody of Goldfinger, a James Bond villain.
- Also, he is one of the only Dinotrux who nicknamed themselves; as such, his real name is unknown.
- Due to the spikes along his back and modified plates, Goldtrux also resembles a Kentrosaurus.
- Goldtrux has also kidnapped two of D-Struct's scraptools, Smash-Itt and Break-Itt. Break-Itt sometimes mistake Goldtrux as D-Structs, and Smash-Itt has to keep reminding him of who they worked for at the time.
- Unlike a normal Stegarbasaurus, when Goldtrux shoots his spikes, they are attached on a chain and act like a claw when they land.
- Goldtrux is the only villain Trux (Not counting the wild species, such as the Scraptors) to not have the black and white color scheme.
- Goldtrux is the second Trux to be friends with one of the main characters and then turned evil, the first one being Blayde.
