Several food and drink establishments in metro Detroit have made their goodbyes to diners in recent weeks and the trend will continue. Recent shutters in and around town include short-lived Korean American restaurant in Corktown, another Bobcat Bonnie’s location, a West Village haven for snacks and tea, a tiny Hamtramck macaron shop, and more. Here are six closures to know about now in metro Detroit.

CORKTOWN — Black Ginger (1331 Trumbull Suite 100, Detroit), the Korean American restaurant situated within the Trumbull and Porter Hotel in Corktown, has closed after just five months of service following a dispute with the property, according to an Instagram post published on Thursday, October 24. The post recommended that fans keep an eye out for possible updates
FARMINGTON HILLS — Bone Yard BBQ Grill House & Bar (31006 Orchard Lake Road, Farmington Hills) closed over the Labor Day weekend following nearly half a century of service, according to the Detroit News. Owner Gordon Djordjevski told the daily that the closure comes as his parents — his grandfather founded the restaurant with his father and uncle — were planning to retire.
YPSILANTI — Bobcat Bonnie’s (200 West Michigan Avenue, Ypsilanti), one of a handful of locations in Michigan, has closed after a dispute with store employees who alleged that management had bounced paychecks and treated workers poorly. Displaced crew members reached a severance settlement in the days following the closure announcement.

WEST VILLAGE — Snack Camp (1464 Van Dyke), the snack shop and tea bar is closing permanently on Thursday, October 31, following a five-year run in West Village, according to an Instagram post published on Thursday, October 24. The post went on to say that moving forward, the ownership would focus on baked goods and wholesales.
FERNDALE — Detroit Bubble Tea (22821 Woodward Ave, Ferndale), a cafe specializing in bubble tea, has announced that the shop will close at the end of October following a 10-year stint in Ferndale, according to the Detroit News.

HAMTRAMCK — Le Detroit Macaron (2756 Evaline St, Hamtramck), the jewel box-sized shop that specializes in colorful French cookies, will serve its last batch of sweets on Saturday, November 16, according to an Instagram post published on Wednesday, October 23. The post goes on to detail that “challenges posed by the economy have taken a toll” on operations that could not be overcome.
