Earlier this fall, we reported on two food halls coming to Golden in the new year. The first, chef Daniel Asher’s Tributary, is slated to open with seven food and drink stalls and a restaurant by late winter. The second, Golden Mill by the founder of Stanley Marketplace, is coming in late 2019.

Dating back to 1865 along Clear Creek in Golden, the mill building was most recently a livestock feed and supply store. When it closed last spring, three local couples went in to purchase the property. “We knew developers would want to turn the spot into condos, but we thought we could do something interesting that would keep the Mill as a community gathering place,” said Susan Ganter, one of Golden Mill’s new owners.

Ganter and her husband Wes, together with John and Amy McLain, and Don and Jayme Martin have partnered with Denver-based Eclectic Collective, whose previous separate projects include Stanley Marketplace, the Source, Zeppelin Station, and Avanti Food & Beverage. In Golden, they’re planning a coffee shop, central bar, multiple food vendors, and event and community spaces for the 6,000-square-foot location.

Eclectic Collective also will open Broadway Market early next year.
