In the midst of Denver’s food hall explosion — seven and counting — Golden is getting in on the action with two halls coming in the next year to the town of 20,000. The first, Tributary Market & Drinkery, will arrive by late winter at 701 12th Street. Then, according to Business Den, Golden Mill will open by late 2019 at the old city mill, 1012 Ford Street.

Owned by chef Daniel Asher and restaurateur Josh Dinar, Tributary is the smaller of the two halls and will fit eight food and drink stalls across its 3,000-square-foot building. Asher is planning a “micro restaurant” and cocktail bar in the space, while other local vendors will round out the options. So far, Asher and Dinar have secured Kona Bowls, Woodgrain Bagels, Generous Coffee, and a sandwich shop by the chef of Denver’s Brider.

“It will very much be a hub for Colorado agriculture and growers and makers and artisans and crafters,” Asher said of Tributary. Elsewhere, the River and Woods chef is also working on an Israeli restaurant in LoHi and a Turkish food stall at Broadway Market.

Just a couple blocks away from Tributary, three local couples have partnered with Stanley Marketplace and Broadway Market developer Mark Shaker to rebuild Golden Mill as a community center. The 6,000-square-foot food hall should open by the end of 2019, though specific plans and tenants have yet to be decided.
