1) BETHESDA: Max Brenner Chocolate Bar is now closed at 7263 Woodmont Ave. in Bethesda Row. It was known for serving chocolate pastries, fondue and even chocolate-filled syringes. It was the chain's first location in the region. Although they once expressed interest in opening more locations in the D.C. area, a representative now tells Eater they have no plans to reopen the Bethesda store elsewhere.
The Max Brenner in Bethesda experienced several menu redesigns, tweaks, and minor renovations during its three years in operation. Blogger Robert Dyer reports the business has been looking for a sublease tenant during the past year and even advertised the space as available two months ago.
2) ROSSLYN: Pan-Asian restaurant Cafe Asia is closing its doors in Rosslyn. ARLNOW reports the restaurant declined to renew its lease after operating for more than 15 years in Arlington. It will close sometime this week, and no special events are planned.
