Giving
The beginning of another academic year is always exciting, as both students and faculty return to campus. The Department of Communication is teeming with students and faculty who are engaged in exciting educational pursuits.
These are difficult times for many, including those of us who teach and learn at the University. Significant budget cuts have taken their toll, but we continue to provide the best possible education for our undergraduate and graduate students. We continue to provide new knowledge, understanding, and leadership in the world of communication studies. In these times, private donations are crucial to our ability to continue doing the many wonderful things that have made us one of the best communication departments in the country.
Private giving allows us to enhance our students’ experiences by extending the classroom to the real world and preparing them for life after college.
An unrestricted gift to the Department of Communication enables:
- Engaged learning opportunities and applied real-world experiences for undergraduates.
- Recruitment of top-notch undergraduate and graduate students.
- Professional development for students, including participation in professional conferences.
- Visits from exceptional faculty, lecturers and artists from around the world.
Most of all, unrestricted gifts help ensure the overall excellence of our department for current and future students. Please consider a gift today to help us realize the goals and aspirations of our students. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Patricia Parker, Associate Professor
