Rain's Thursday Art Date - Yellow
Welcome to Rain's Thursday Art Date's 'Yellow Theme' for her 'Colourful June'! I did a mountain scape ACEO (2 12"x 3 1/2") in permanent markers, based on Valle Blanche, France which came up on my screensaver one day.

Bridal Shower
Daughter L had a beautiful bridal shower at the end of May, it was perfect. I made the flower arrangements pictured above. Friends and family made the day such a beautiful occasion. It was hosted by me and the mother of the groom. All the bridesmaids helped us so much make it a success, planning and executing fun games. The food as pictured below was delicious.
The event was held at a local golf club. It was a lovely atmosphere. Everyone is now looking forward to the wedding in 3 month's time. One highlight was that one of my sisters came all the way from California to attend!

Wind Storm
On Sat May 21 we had an amber alert on our phones and TVs that a severe thunderstorm was imminent, asking us to take cover. There were at least 10 deaths in the province from falling trees and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The storm lasted maybe half an hour but did a lot of damage. Many were without power for days. We went for a walk in the neighbourhood a few days after that and saw many downed trees. In the photo above, this tree was blocking the road completely.

Meatballs with small shell pasta
I made some meatballs with pasta sauce and small shell pasta, a one pot meal. I used a healthier bottled pasta sauce with less sodium but it still tastes good. I added some grated parmesan cheese toward the end of cooking.
