Caillou: Rosie, don't!
(Rosie giggles and throws sand on Caillou's clothes with a bucket.)
Caillou: Mommy!!
(Doris comes inside in her work clothes and very angry at Caillou.)
Caillou: Mommy, I don't want Rosie to play in my sandbox.
(Caillou gets the sand off of his clothes and the sand files on Rosie's eyes. Rosie wipes her eyes with her arms and starts crying loudly.)
Doris: Okay, you two, that's enough. (picks up a still crying Rosie) Caillou, you have to play nicely with your little sister. The sandbox is for both of you. (share the sandbox with Rosie into 2 players)
Caillou: But…
Doris: No buts! I have to go out now and I want you to promise me that you'll let Rosie play with you.
Storyteller: Caillou was upset because he didn't think Mommy was being fair. After all Rosie had started it.
Doris: Promise?
Caillou: Okay.
(Rosie stops crying and smiles.)
Boris: Bye, honey! Have a nice day!
Doris: Bye! Oh, will you do me a favor and clean up the kitchen? Promise?
Boris: I promise. See you later.
Boris:
(Gilbert meows in a low tone as Ollie)
Caillou: Gilbert! No cats on a table!
Boris: Why don't you let Gilbert outside?
Caillou: Come on, Gilbert!

Boris: Caillou, didn't you help me to help me wash the dishes?
Caillou: I'm playing and I don't want Rosie to play in the sandbox with me.
Boris: Well, do you remember the promise you made to Mommy? You have to share the sandbox with Rosie, right? It's important not to break a promise, Caillou. Why don't we let Rosie play in the while and we can do the dishes?
Rosie: Rosie play!
Boris: Okay, Rosie. You can play for a while.

Boris: Caillou, slow down. You're eating too quickly.
Caillou: (muffled) I have to hurry. Jason and Jeffery are coming to get me.
Boris: Caillou, please don't talk with your mouth full.
(Caillou swollen a bite of his sandwich.)
Caillou: I have to hurry! Jason and Jeffery are coming to get me!
Boris: They are?
Caillou: They invented me to go to the circus today.
Rosie: Me too!
Caillou: No, Rosie! They're my friends and you're not coming.
(Rosie cries.)
Boris: Caillou, that's not very nice and the boys' mother didn't say anything to me at the park, so I don't think you'll be going with them.
Caillou: But they promised. (walks to his room crying)
()
Storyteller: Caillou was very upset. He was sure that the twins would bring him to the circus, He didn't understand why they would promise to take him and then not do it.
()
Boris: You are very upset, aren't you, Caillou?
Caillou: They promised, Daddy.
Boris: And I told you that it's important not to break a promise, didn't I? Well, I think the boys promise something a little too quickly. I think they forgot to ask their mommy first.
Caillou: Why?
Boris: We all forgot sometimes, and besides they are your friends. I'm sure they were really wanted to bring you with them.
Caillou: But I want to go to the circus.
Boris: I know you do and we will.
()
Caillou: Maybe that's them!
