Amharski jezik
Izgled
Amharski jezik[1] (amharski:አማርኛ) amarəñña) je semitski jezik koji se govori na sjeveru srednje Etiopije; drugi je po broju govornika među semitskim jezicima, nakon arapskog, i zvanični je jezik Etiopije. Izvan Etiopije, amharski govori nekih 2,7 miliona ljudi u Egiptu, Izraelu, Švedskoj i Eritreji.
Amharski se piše posebnim pismom zvanim fidel (/fidäl/) ili abugida, adaptiran od pisma korištenog u danas umrlom jeziku ge'ez.
