At long last, a Quincy-based coffee shop has completed its expansion to Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood. Coffee Break Cafe opened last week at 680 Truman Pkwy. in the former Bean and Cream space, bringing the grand total of Coffee Break locations up to four. The expansion was first announced back in February 2018.
The family-owned coffee shop, which first opened in 1996, also operates in Wollaston and Milton. It was founded by Jenn and Donny Ormond.
The shop sources its coffee beans from a handful of micro-roasters and serves hot and iced coffees year round. There are also flavored coffees, espresso-based beverages, and frozen blended beverages like smoothies and cocoa. On the food side, Coffee Break offers baked goods, including bagels, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries, along with oatmeal.
