Hyde Park’s Cottage Tavern (1227 Hyde Park Ave.) is nearing its final days. The holder of its common victualler and liquor license has petitioned the city for the right to transfer the license and its location to the Innovation and Design Building in the Seaport District, reports Universal Hub. A public notice on the Boston Licensing Board’s website confirms the news.

IDB’s proposed plans include a space with indoor seating for 102, lobby seating for 15, and outdoor patio seating (which would be open from April to October) for 28 more. The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6, at 10 a.m. at City Hall.

Eater has reached out to IDB’s property team for further details on its plans and will update this story as new information becomes available.

For the time being, head to Hyde Park Avenue for a drink at the Cottage Tavern before it’s too late.
