Transportation and Energy Committee, Alabama State Senate

The Transportation and Energy Committee is a standing committee of the Alabama State Senate. It was previously the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.
Per the Senate Rules, committees of the Alabama State Senate are assigned by the Committee on Assignments, consisting of the president pro tempore, the presiding officer, the senate majority leader, and three additional members appointed by the president pro tempore. A majority of appointed members make up a committee's quorum. [1][2]

| “ | The Committee on Transportation and Energy, to which committee shall be referred bills and other matters concerning: motor vehicles; traffic regulation; highways; railways; airports; air transportation; mining and reclamation; waste and waste reduction; oil, gas, and all other energy matters; common carriers or other forms of transportation; utilities and utility systems; and ports, harbors, and docks. The Committee on Transportation and Energy shall not exceed 13 members.[3][4] | ” |
