|A lifelong Hoosier from Southern Indiana, Thomasina's life began in rural Spencer County, where at 16 she not only built trails at the Lincoln National Boyhood Memorial but also earned a spot in the trail-blazing movie, A League of Their Own. Thomasina saw early success in her two decades of managing multi-million dollar corporations, earning the title of hotel general manager by age 20. Thomasina is an educator, small business owner, nationally registered EMT, certified life coach, and motivational speaker.
- I stand with American workers by supporting workers' rights, higher wages. And the restoration of unions.
- I fight for Healthcare including guaranteed coverage, affordable prescriptions, and increased providers.
- I work for strengthening Education with Universal Pre-K, increased funding, and Teacher education reimbursement.
It is Thomasina's Passion to bring recognition to the inequities within our rural areas and to give voice to the voiceless. It is the mission of this campaign to stand for working Hoosiers. Jobs now pay less than they did nearly 30 years ago due to the decimation of our unions. With the loss of our unions across a once rich and vibrant riverbed, workers are now faced with the worst economic crisis we have seen in decades. In order to contain this crisis, the Federal minimum wage must increase to a living wage. This will increase and help stabilize the Social Security System that we pay in to.
I look up to Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm on the House Agriculture Committee who worked tirelessly to create the SNAP program. And President Woodrow Wilson who spoke before Congress in support of giving women the right to vote.

As a Cognitive Research Psychologist, I understand the importance of cultural linguistics and how it plays a part in negotiations and conveyance of need through legislation. Without this degree, I would be ill prepared. It is because of this degree and having worked over different socioeconomic statuses that I am better prepared than other individuals with no political experience.

In the Indiana 8th Congressional District, we have created our own term limits by flipping the 8th when we do not like our leadership. I find it beneficial to create a plan that limits house members to 3 terms and Senate members to 2 terms.
Freshmen members are not usually in leadership positions.
