- I am running because I believe in a brighter, more inclusive Idaho. As an HCA caregiver, I see the potential for positive change every day. My passion is to ensure everyone, especially those with disabilities and our seniors, feels included and supported. Accessibility and Inclusivity: Let's make public meetings accessible for all. Senior Services: Inspired by my Great Grandmother, we'll create senior-friendly infrastructure. Economic Development: By supporting small businesses, we can turn dreams into reality. With 14 years of legislative experience and a heart for caregiving, I'm ready to bring optimism and practical solutions to District 6A. Together, we can build bridges and create a thriving community for everyone.
- Hello, I'm Ryan Wayne Augusta, and I am running for the Idaho House of Representatives - District 6A. My journey as a dedicated HCA Caregiver and an Independent non-partisan candidate has shaped my focus on key issues that deeply impact our community. Accessibility and Inclusivity in Public Meetings is a priority. As an HCA Certified In-Home Caregiver, I firmly believe that we can reduce poverty and increase inclusion by providing reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities. My experience has taught me the importance of approaching these challenges with a compassionate mindset, grounded in the lived experiences of those navigating our less than equitable infrastructure.

Dear Residents of Latah, Lewis, and Nez Perce Counties,
I am honored to address you as a write-in candidate for our State Representative seat A of District 6. Our community is at a crossroads where the health and well-being of the population intersect with the imperative need for progressive cannabis legislation. This announcement highlights the critical parallels between cannabis legislation and the need for empathy driven wellness plans within our community.
In 2010, I was privileged to participate in the 'Hemp Offers People Everything' event in Julia Davis Park, Boise, Idaho. During this event, I had the unexpected opportunity to step in as an emcee, shouting, "Welcome to Boiiiiiise HOPE Fest!"
What sets Ryan apart is his unwavering dedication to listening to the people he seeks to represent. He values your input and is committed to being a responsive and accessible representative. Ryan is not just a candidate; he is a neighbor, a friend, and a champion for all residents of District 6. As we look toward the future, we need leaders like Ryan Wayne Augusta—leaders who are not afraid to tackle tough issues, who have the integrity to do what is right, and who are dedicated to building a stronger, more vibrant community for all.
This moment ignited my ongoing commitment to advocacy, highlighting the urgent need for awareness and change.
While sidewalk chalking downtown Boise an officer thanked me, this is what he said, "No officer wants to arrest a Grandmother in their home for self medicating, so they choose not to enforce the law. This weakens the justice system. By building legislation that supports those individuals you are making the justice system stronger. Thanks," - Boise Police 2011.
The dichotomy discovered that day rang ironic bells of truth. We make satirical humor about people that have chosen to consume a plant. Untrue and unchallenged for fear of retribution citizens conform to the placated joke that has been conveyed by a status quo.
Civil disobedience is stated to be the acceptance of consequences for a law that violates ones civil liberties. Our communuty is actively choosing to be disobedient instead of accepting unreasonable consequences. This struggle will produce long term unintended affects that we are choosing to ignore.
