Kevin K. Hendrick is the superintendent of Pinellas County Schools. Hendrick was appointed superintendent in 2022. Hendrick's previous career experience includes serving in the district as an associate superintendent.[1]
Past superintendents
- Michael Grego was the superintendent of Pinellas County Schools from September 2012 until 2022. Grego's previous career experience includes being Florida's interim chancellor of K-12 education, the superintendent of Osceola County School District in Florida, and the assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction for Hillsborough County Schools in Florida.[2]

The Pinellas County Schools school board consists of seven members elected to four-year terms. Four members are elected by district and three members are elected at large.[3]

Elections
Elections are held on a staggered basis in the November general election.[4]
One seat on the school board was up for general election on November 5, 2024. The election for two other seats on the board were decided in the August 20, 2024, primary election. Candidates could win outright in the primary election if they were unopposed or if they received a majority of votes cast in the primary.
