A City of Oakland Utility Users Tax, Measure J ballot question was on the June 3, 2008 ballot for voters in the City of Oakland in Alameda County, California, where it was approved.
When Measure J was approved, the City of Oakland already had a utility users tax in place. What Measure J did was extend the types of telephone services to which the tax applies.
