|- Our economy is suffering from high energy prices, reckless government spending & the printing of money. Life has become unaffordable for many Americans. The price of gasoline, & heating oil have doubled. Natural gas, electricity, food prices & consumer goods are much higher. Higher interest rates make housing & car loans unaffordable. The interest costs on our federal debt will lead to higher taxes. We are being forced to buy oil from dictatorships rather than produce it here and creating American jobs. Ct. faces some of the highest electric bills in the country because federal laws block us from buying enough domestic natural gas to generate our electricity. We have to import it at higher prices. These laws must be changed.
- Our border must be closed to illegal immigration. Criminals, gang members, terrorists , drug, sex and child traffickers must be deported. Illegal aliens must be defunded. It is absurd that we are providing extensive economic benefits to illegal entrants into our country. Crime shouldn’t pay. Fentanyl originating in China, packed in Mexico and smuggled into the US, is killing tens of thousands of Americans. Counterfeit pills labeled oxycodone or something else contain fatal doses of fentanyl are killing unsuspecting Americans. To me that is murder and those who sell lethal fentanyl pills are murderers. I will propose laws that make this crime murder and those who make and distribute these pills should be prosecuted for murder.
- Our healthcare system has become overly expensive and overly bureaucratic. Physicians and other healthcare providers suffer burnout from the regulatory compliance that takes up to 20 hours per week of their time. Patients feel that healthcare has become more of a business and they feel that they are no longer the priority. High deductibles keep middle class and working class people from seeking medical care and they loose the benefit of preventive care. There is little competition and choice in healthcare. This needs to be reformed, competition which lowers prices and improves quality must be expanded. Patient dissatisfaction, physician burnout, overregulation, and loss of competition and choice must be reversed. Patients must come first.
I would like to be remembered as someone who came to Washington and was the proponent of legislation that improved people’s lives. Returning our healthcare system to a cost effective, competitive system that puts patients first that enable doctors to fulfill their role as patient advocates and eliminates excessive bureaucracy is one of my goals. Reforming our regulatory system so that regulatory agencies follow the laws written by congress rather than making new laws by regulation. Congress must re-assert its role as a legislative body.
This describes the ugly side of our political system where an economically powerful entity can select, promote, finance and elect, an otherwise unqualified person, who then carries out the bidding of those who got him elected. This is the type of political corruption and manipulation that must be avoided. It is scary and yet this story is not farfetched.
Frank Sinatra – The House I Live In (That’s America to Me)
These are the words
“What is America to me
A name, a map, or a flag I see
A certain word, democracy
What is America to me
The house I live in
A plot of earth, the street
The grocer and the butcher
Or the people that I meet
The children in the playground
The faces that I see
All races and religions
That's America to me
The place I work in
The worker by my side
The little town the city
Where my people lived and died
The howdy and the handshake
The air a feeling free
And the right to speak your mind out
That's America to me
The things I see about me
The big things and the small
That little corner newsstand
Or the house a mile tall
The wedding and the churchyard
The laughter and the tears
The dream that's been a growing
For more than two hundred years
The town I live in
The street, the house, the room
The pavement of the city
Or a garden all in bloom
The church the school the clubhouse
The millions lights I see
Especially the people
That's America to me”

Campaign website
Goldstein’s campaign website stated the following:
“ |
THE PLATFORM FOR FREEDOM What is My Platform? I AM FOR:
I AM AGAINST:
Why Goldstein for Congress? Vote Your Values I have been a Connecticut Resident for Over 30 Years. I have moved up to Greenwich Connecticut in 1987 to escape taxes and mismanagement of government. I have watched Connecticut become as bad if not worse than New York and many of these wrongs have been while Jim Himes has been in office. It is time to serve Connecticut and represent YOU. Over the past 30 Years, Connecticut has become a bureaucratic empire mismanaged by the majority of its elected officials that continue to saddle this great state with debt while driving good tax payers and industries out of the state in search of better economic opportunities. I am running for Congress as I am tired of seeing the Democrats of this Constitution State not abiding by the constitution and will do everything I can to prevent the state from becoming the next Detroit. I am also extremely concerned about rising anti I am all about protecting your freedoms. We are here to protect your freedoms as parents and your right to make the best decision for your children, your medical rights, and the protection of your inalienable rights. The issues facing most Americans are not partisan. They include not being bankrupt from filling our gas tanks, heating our houses and feeding our children. The fact that we have no formula is unacceptable. Our children need the best quality education possible not indoctrination. Parents have the absolute right to fight for that. Reform Means Reduced Regulation Healthcare costs and all Regulatory costs are on the rise and health insurance is not affordable for most Connecticut residents. Drug prices are rising while manufacturing costs of prescription drugs are on the decline. The new gun legislation increases healthcare costs As one of the last sole practitioners in medicine, I have watched the decline of our health care systems on the front line. Your healthcare expenses go to pharmaceuticals and administration of healthcare. It does not go to your doctor. As a small-business owner, I have experienced the pain you have felt and the push to get rid of "Main Street." If Democrats and non-business minded politicians continue down this course, we will be headed for a healthcare and economic crisis of epic proportions. We cannot be subjected to more taxes to subsidize decades of mismanaged policies. Taxes cannot be our only solution to this problem. Efficient de-regulation and a reduction of administration costs across all sectors ensure a brighter future for our healthcare system and many other business sectors. The Road to the Socialist Highway Ends with Reform Connecticut faces potential tolls and gas taxes on our interstates. This is not only a reality but a metaphor for ALL programs of the Democrats. While this is a local issue, it represents a false reality that increased costs equal solutions. If the Democrats continue to have their way, new programs will be added to the Federal budget that will force taxes to go up. Socialist policies of the progressive Democrats will destroy the economic structure of our economy and turn us into a third world country, if we have not already become one. Under the right leadership at the Federal level, our problems can be solved. Continuing down the same road with increased potholes and speed bumps from bureaucratic policies will not work. It is time for new leadership and new ideas in Connecticut that start at the Federal Level and directly impact Connecticut without increased taxation. Its time for real progress, not the regressive policies of Progressive Democrats that have stalled Connecticut.[3] |

|I am a Physician and Attorney and Small Business Owner and Bring my experience as a small business owner to Congress to reform healthcare, reduce the regulatory burden in healthcare and many over-regulated industries to foster growth of the small business again.
I am also running to protect our fundamental rights from the erosion of their meaning and value and allow freedom of choice in healthcare and education and competition across all industries. I want to help curb inflation that hurts Americans at the gas pump, the grocery stores and the corner deli. This includes energy independence and freedom from foreign oil, mini-nuclear power and bringing manufacturing back to the US.
I also am running for secure borders and sound immigration policies.
For Connecticut, I want to foster the growth of manufacturing and technology jobs from the state that put man on the moon.- I am not a career politician and believe that politicians should be industry veterans that bring their experience to change policy
- America comes first and we need to take care of our citizens by securing the border, restoring energy independence and preserving our fundamental rights
- Regulation needs to be smart, sensible and based on sound cost-benefit analysis
Security and the protection of our borders from rampant border crossing and restore deterrents to reduce illegal immigration
I am humbled by how much he accomplished, and his accomplishments have shaped our lives on the political and scientific fronts.
I am a fighter who will stand up for what I believe is right even against strong opposition
When necessary I can build coalitions to obtain a successful outcome
Preserving the rights protected by the Constitution, its amendments and the Declaration of Independence.
It is a revealing story about how our political system can be manipulated by powerful forces acting behind the scenes to change the outcome of an election and in this case the decision of a state supreme court.
What is unique to the congressional districts is that most represent the same number of voters. The voice of each district should be heard through their congressman. Districts can be rural, urban, culturally, and geographically different yet somehow there needs to be a meeting of the minds for the common good.
I was raised to believe that the best politicians are those who have had a life of industry and bring their experience to Washington to change policy for the better.
