Magnet schools, sometimes called theme-based schools, are public schools of choice that use specialized subject areas or innovative learning approaches to attract students from diverse backgrounds.
The tables below present magnet school prevalence and participation data by state for multiple years. If data are not provided for a state, it is because data were not available, either because the state did not have magnet schools or because adequate information was not provided.[1][2]
