Harold Lowenstein

Harold L. "Hal" Lowenstein was a judge on the Western District of the Missouri Court of Appeals. He was appointed to this position in July of 1981 and retained by voters in 1982 and 1994. His final term was set to expire on December 31, 2018,[1] but he retired in 2010.[2]

Education

Judge Lowenstein was born in Marshall, Missouri. He received his B.S. degree in business administration and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia. He served 8 years in the Missouri House of Representatives.[1]

Career

Judge Lowenstein began his legal career as an Assistant Attorney General in 1970. Two years later, he was elected to the House of Representatives. In 1981, he became an appellate judge.[1]
