- Keep Our Schools Safe Keeping students, teachers, and staff safe must always be our top priority. Students are unable to learn, and teachers cannot teach, if they are in an unsafe environments fearing for their lives. Every school must have a properly-trained and armed law enforcement officer on campus. Teachers who meet proper qualification and training should be allowed to carry concealed firearms to protect our children.
- Prepare All Students for Success All students must learn to be proficient in reading, writing, and math skills, plus the proper use of technology. Upon those fundamentals, we must build on that foundation, teaching critical thinking and problem solving skills that enable our graduates to succeed. The start of this century has seen the most rapidly changing and dynamic economy in history -- with even more changes coming. We will fail our children if we do not prepare them to become life long learners who have the ability to adapt and overcome these challenges.
- Educate, Not Indoctrinate Radical agendas and ideologies do not belong in our classrooms now or ever. Young children should never be exposed to adult issues. Our schools must be completely transparent so parents know exactly what their children are learning and hearing in the classroom. Critical Race Theory has no place in any school. It perverts American history and undermines our Constitutional Republic. The only flags that should be flown or displayed in a classroom or on campus are the American flag and the Tennessee state flag.
